Hi all,
RK as defendant received a PCN.  On the Notice to Keeper the address of the alleyway is given as just "XXX Road" with no post code or building number. RK is appealing on the grounds of incomplete location address was rejected by the issuing company. RK wants to know if the case can be defended on this grounds.

No idea, because we dont know
    - if this is private parking
    - if this is private parking and youre called to court you will, when asked, be willing to lie about your vehicles location when asked.

Keep having to ask for one of the most important factors to help advise - name of parking firm?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Hi all,
I have received a PCN for parking in an alleyway behind a privately owned building. On the Notice to Keeper the address of the alleyway is given as just "XXX Road" with no post code or building number. Now the alleyway where I was parked is about 150 meters away from XXX Road. Also XXX Road is a major road which run for 15 miles with 19 different post codes. My appeal on the grounds of incomplete location address was rejected by the issuing company and I am thinking of opting for court appearance.
Can anyone tell me if this is winnable  or not?
    PS. My argument is this:
    a) Wasn't parked at XXX Road as indicated on the PCN.
    b) XXX Road has 19 different post codes but the PCN does't show any post code or building number.
    Many Thanks.

No Nosferatu, I am not going to lie the location where I was parked. What I am saying is they are claiming that I was parked on road that I wasn't as I was in an alleyway that is 150 meters away from the main road. And even it I was parked on that main road they failed to give the full address of the location. So I am wondering if anyone know if technicality speaking that can invalidate the PCN?

    Then tell us
    - is this private parking? or is it council? youve told us nothing of use so far.
    - have you identified the driver?
    - if its private then, if they know who the dirver is, then a small mistake on an INVOICE means !!!!!! all.

If you said "I parked" then the answer is Yes. If you said "My vehicle was parked" then the answer is No.

You received a PCN?  If so then tell us the name that is on the top of the PCN, i.e. the name of the private parking company.  Help us to help you.

It is private. Without identifying the driver I had appealed against the PCN on those grounds and lost it.
