Why are you defending something when youre not the RK?0 -
It is the person named on the PCN or LBC or court papers that has to defend. You can help/advise/assist (well done for doing this) but it is done in the RK's name and, if it goes to court, the RK must appear.2

So we are on p3 and finally we know that you have a bog standard court claim from Hounslow Enforcement Ltd - which solicitor firm filed the claim and what's the issue date of the claim (top right) and have they added £60 to the sum claimed (bottom left)?
Before you answer - you HAVE read the sticky pinned threads, yes?
1. The one with the template defence (top of this forum)?
2. ...and the one called 'NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST' (where the entire second post is about how to win by defending a court claim and that we see 99% wins)?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

What's the date of issue of the claim form?
have you gone ONLINE to acknowledge the claim? There's two questions there, not one.1 -
Coupon-Mad: Looked everywhere and am unable to locate "NEWBIES THREAD". Perhaps you can give me foolproof directions on this, please. Yes, they added £60 to the original pcn amount of £100.
Nosfwratu1001: Yes, the claim form was issued and the acknowledgment of service form. So RK have 28 days to prepare our defence. Your help is really appreciated..

Does that mean you posted the form by Royal Mail?
If so, I strongly recommend that you now file an Acknowledgment of Service online following the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread. Should only take ten minutes or so.
Then...With a Claim Issue Date of 4th June, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 7th July 2020 to file your Defence. That's over three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute. To create and file a Defence, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions mentioned above.Don't miss the deadline for filing a Defence.2
