Come in tighter to the house, then swing across, so you're not starting parallel to the house/wall. Stop with the NSF wheel close to the border, bumper overhanging it.
Looks eminently possible in one go, easy in two.0 -

There is no front garden on the plan. I can see why they developer is taking the stance they are now.
I'm struggling to see what the extra length - there's no width difference - adds to the manoeuvre, I have to admit.
narrow drive with tandem parking would have put me off that property
would have soon dropped the garden as we have 2 cars, those are 2 extra parking spaces easier to just use them than the drive.
Problem may be visitors to the other houses may want to use them.0 -

Should have put in that previous post, the extension does not go out as per the blue spray paint, it is angled, so the end of the road (by the nose of my car) hasn't changed width, hence why you cant fit two cars side by side.0

Starbabe6 said:I don’t think you can actually fit two cars side by side, it’s that little bit too tight. Here is my car before the 30cm wall extension. It may just be possible but you wouldn’t be able to open doors (there is a railing on top of that wall - safety apparently.....) Where the line shows the garden used to be is our boundary line, so the extended tarmac is ours and the neighbours (luckily) don’t use it. I think the pictures maybe make it look bigger than it is!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. TBH I'd have probably block paved that area myself sooner or later, as it's a perfect parking spot. A bonus for being on the end, a luxury the neighbours don't have. A future selling point!!!!How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0
