Why is Robert Jenrick involved in the new CoP and not Grant Shapps? Better still why not the minister without portfolio?

One of the main issues that were raised by Sir Greg Knights P.M.B was the lack of an independent appeals system. The directors of the larger PPC's could quite easily cosy up to Mr J. and everything that Sir Greg Knight pushed for could be diluted. He is not the best person for the role.

Robert Jenrick, is all part of the "living in dizzy heights" brigade
He has already admitted what he did was unlawful and Boris will be tainted with the same brush if he is not careful. There is bound to be other things that crawl out of the Jenrick "cash for favours" agenda3 -

I do wonder if we should be writing to our MP's expressing concerns about Mr J's neutrality.
My MP is under the cosh, he will do what his master says or go and sit at the back. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2 -

Your MP, Sharma is just a wind up toy with Boris holding the key. Cummings holds the key to wind up Boris3 -
Last week I asked the BSI when the public consultation for the mandatory CoP will begin, how the public will be informed about it, and how comments can be submitted. Despite receiving an automated reply telling me replies are normally given within a few hours, I have yet to receive an answer.
I have now sent a message to Mr Jenrick via the HCLG contact page. Replies may take up to fifteen days.
