    Thanks, all.

Still waiting for the total to change on my Santander app...
  • Congratulations!  Your diary is a real inspiration and motivation!

Did you have to pay an Early Redeption Charge to pay off your mortgage during a fixed rate?
How does it feel to be mortgage free and what's next for you?

I will miss reading your diary if that's the end!

Just when I'm about to make ends meet, somebody moves the ends
  • Congratulations that’s amazing Frith! CM

@thriftychick yes, there was a 3% charge after I had paid 10% off each year.

It doesn’t feel real yet as the balance STILL hasn’t changed on my Santander app! I might ring them up!

Next is paying back my son and clearing my overdraft.

in the future, I’d like a house without the problems that this one has. We have a tiny courtyard garden that is the only access for next doors to get to their house. We are fronting straight onto a main road with no parking. The floor area of the WHOLE HOUSE is 180 square feet! My sons’ room is 9 feet x 5.5 feet so they have no furniture in there except their bunk bed. They’re both so tall it is a 7 feet long bunk bed so there is just room for them to get out of bed. We don’t have a full sized bath as the bathroom is too small. The ceilings are 7 feet so my taller son’s hair is brushing the beams downstairs and he has to limbo dance to get through the doors and on to the first step of the stairs. It’s a proper garden that I would like.
