Hi Natlie,
I am in a DMP with Stepchange also, I've just approached my first year with them, four more to go! They are so very helpful. I was made redundant last year overnight (200 of us, without our months wage!!) and I didn't have a penny to offer any companies I owed money to. With the help of my then partner and Stepchange we set up the DMP and I cried of relief just talking to them the first time. My circumstances have changed now and I'm back at the family home so I'm trying to save an extra £300 a month to "store" and pay off a card at a time extra. MBNA are 2 of the companies I owe to and they recently sent a letter saying they were now charging interest, but Stepchange got in touch and they've held off for another year, which is a hugeeee relief! You are doing brilliant3 -
Thanks for the reply @_mybelle its great to hear others' experiences and its great that you now have extra money to save.
I haven't had any more news from creditors but I have made a few more sales and my income from decluttering is looking good

Hello,
Made another £2.50 today and have an unpaid sale on Eb*y of £3.70 have updated decluttering income with the £2.50. I should say that this isn't all being added to the EF but it being used to cover costs that crop up like the tyre I had to replace and chips from the chip shop last weekend.
I had a letter from First direct confirming a 60 day breathing space whilst I get my finances sorted, hopefully this is just a late letter as i spoke to them about this a while ago and they have received my offer and SC reference already but might give them a ring soon to check in.Had a message from Monzo they’ve frozen interest and taken June charges off my account they will be reducing my overdraft limit by the amount I pay to SC each month until it’s paid back.
Off to have lunch now before a 3.5 hour online meeting and then a walk to the post office

Ouch, to a 3.5 hour meeting, being online doubly so.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases
One income, home educating family2 -
Barclaycard have written to say my accounts closed, no further charges or interest and I have until Aug to pay them my full payments or they will default me - back to June, this is good news I think and I am so annoyed that i didn't sign up for this DMP a year ago! I was such a chicken - if you are reading this thinking about going into a DMP please just do it! honestly its changing my life, everyday feels more positive (on the finances side)

Morning
So work up to a message from Monzo today saying that I was over my overdraft limit and they've reduced my limit by £8.14? they said they would be reducing my limit by £14.87 as SC made my payment due on the 1st July.
Very odd, wondering whether to pay £4.14 to bring it under limit or call them to see what is going on?

Hello,
Feeling a bit down in the dumps today, mostly because of work. I've been dragged into all sorts recently and today someone who isn't involved in one piece of work they are doing said that it was above their pay grade (they earn £12k more than I do) so that upset me a bit. I often feel overlooked at work and I went through a horrible bullying incident that only stopped because of COVID and now seems to be resurfacing in team meetings and on the internal staff intranet.
On the DMP still no news from Paypal, they are the only creditor who haven't sent me anything now I make my first payment on Wednesday which is really exciting.
I have someone collecting something I've sold today but only £2 going to try and Eb*y some more things over the weekend.
It payday on Tuesday and I have money, haven't used my overdraft or my EF but I need to send some birthday flowers to my gran (90th) and mother in law (70th) going to look for some voucher codes.

Have a look at bloom and wild for flowers. If you buy more than 1 at a time you get £5 off. They are amazing quality. I’ve been gifted a few and they always last 3-4 weeks and the few I’ve sent have been well received. I got sent lots of flowers last year from about 10 different suppliers and they were by far the best.
