    Morning,

Today the hunt for my Starling card continues. I must have hidden it from myself too well. Worst case will have to order a new one. Yay found it in a basket on top of the fridge and sorted the basket out too.
I still have a lot of cleaning to do, the weather was supposed to be good today but its raining so I still have loads of laundry to do.
I've run cleaner through the dishwasher.
I am planning to sort through my Eb*y pile today and list some things, might be able to put some on FB Marketplace. I think I have sold a fish tank - pending collection for £20.
I have a box of books I never got round to posting because of lockdown so will re-do them in the app.
I still haven't spoken to Next so need to get that done.
I'm expecting more creditor letters this week now and I don't feel so worried after my letter from Tesco and my chat with First direct.

A*da refunded me £1 and gave me a £5 evoucher because I found a very odd twig in my bag of salad, I wouldn’t have bothered reporting but it ruined my dinner - it had buds on it - ew
    Have a good day

    Morning,

Spent this weekend sorting though eB*y/FB MP and sold a few things made £5 on FB and sold a bottle of Shave conditioner on eB*y for £22  it attaches to a shaver and they don't make it anymore. I have people collecting 3 items today for £26 and I have lots listed and a few more things to list.
Also need to get all the recycling out of my garage that we saved during lockdown as we didn't want to send it to the incinerator and they are recycling again now
I am going to meal plan a few meals for this week and avoid doing a weekly shop i just need to get cheese, milk and bread.
Waiting for the postman to come possibly with more creditor letters

  • Hi Nat, I’ve read your diary and can entirely empathise with where you’re at. I too am with StepChange and they have been fantastic. It’s not without its ups and downs but the main feeling is of relief. The feeling of ‘guilt’ you have with incurring debt does weigh so heavily on your shoulders. With regards to your OH I would recommend Mind the Mental Health Charity. As someone who has battled with mental health for a number of years I can vouch for them. I too have been on antidepressants and, although it’s not true for everyone, my view from working in the emergency services is that there is a root to most mental health problems. Particularly depression. They operate telephone counselling which is 1-2-1 and other help which might be better for him if he understandably doesn’t want to air his dirty laundry in public.

It sounds like you’ve made some amazing progress so keep it up. You will make mistakes as we’re all human! Well done on making fantastic decisions and I’m sure your journey will inspire others.

I’ve got a bag packed for cash4clothes too
more to list on Eb*y but I am enjoying the quick transactions on FB Marketplace

    Morning,
So no sales or news from creditors again yesterday. I did make £1 on a survey though.
Had to pay £61 for a new tyre, has had a nail in it since March, I have the cash for it in the house, its been here since before lockdown, so need to go and pay it back in to emergency fund as they weren't taking cash payments.
I have a quiet day at work today, only one meeting in the diary - which is great because its been crazy recently and Im exhausted.
I'm hoping now that its raining that my husband will do some chores, he's been out in the garden in a chair since April, no motivation to do anything.

    Morning,
The weather is a bit more settled here today.
Yesterday I made a £1 sale on FB, I withdrew £5.05 from Survey site, I also had a £12 payment from a friend as I made her and her friend a special lunch on the weekend. All for the EF.
I have had to order a grocery shop, I was hoping to get away without it this week

    Hi,
Received a letter from MBNA today, they have accepted my payment offer, closed the account and passed the debt to their recoveries team. Like Tesco they have defaulted the account straight away, I have no missed payments on this account either.
I am going to be spending most of the day listing items for sale. I have already cleaned the fridge and thrown out some old jars of things that were half used. My fridges are now ready for my meal planned grocery shop and meal planning going forward.
I have a lady collecting an item sold for £3 today and I have £3.51 from surveys in the account.
    Feeling good
