Nobody knows about my debt and DMP except SC and this Forum. I don't know who I could talk to about it really. I don't have a lot of very close friends who I would feel happy disclosing this too and I definitely couldn't tell my parents. My sister might be most supportive but she lives very far away and has a lot going on herself and I wouldn't want to burden her with my problems

I just mentioned it as it must be hard to carry it all own your own shoulders. Just make sure you're looking after yourself x

Depression is a very much misunderstood condition. Is your OH getting treatment and support? I only ask because a very close relative suffered from this and although he had a very good doctor it was only when he got some help from a support group that he started to move forward. You seem to dealing with a lot on your own and it is not easy.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5

unfortunately not, he sees the Dr every 6 months and they talk about how he is and then tell him to stay on his medication. He’s had no counselling. He won’t join a group because he’s really anxious in public and rarely leaves the house. This has been life for 11 years.

My OH has health problems which cause him to be mentally distanced from us for months at a time. I hope you have a support network IRL to help you with the isolation.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Hi
Re-jigging the finances this morning I had a reminder from The AA that my contents insurance is due, so to help me with my monthly budget i've decided to take this from my EF and make the whole year payment. I also had to lend my eldest £30, which she has said she will pay back.
Updated my figures here. I've heard no news from my creditors or SC yet and i am still waiting for my account password.
I have money in my account to cover all my bills up to the end of the month - pay day.
Thank you to everyone who has commented on my diary so far, I suppose for some of us this is a lonely journey and knowing there are kind and helpful people out there is so important.

Well done @natlie on having the money to pay the insurance for the year and it is included in your SOA to cover future years

Hi @Baileys_Babe
Thank you, I have a box room of stuff that I need to sell on eBay or FB Marketplace, I’ve been avoiding it after a failed car boot sale. I could look for some other bits too. I have a garage full of junk I could look through too, I know there’s a nice Child’s high chair in there.
I've signed up to a survey site too and I’ve made a couple of £s today

Good luck on getting the debt cleared through your DMP and hope the new budget works for you.
I would question whether it is worth you paying the £50 on appliance insurance (even if the appliances are elderly). Have you ever needed to claim on it and how much have you paying and for how long? If you are paying £50 a month that is £600 a year which you could be saving which would more than cover a fridge/freezer/cooker or washing machine and it is unlikely they all go in the same year. You also have a decent emergency fund so given money is so tight I would save that £50 a month specifically for broken appliances etc.
