What a great start to the day. The mind boggles by the way on the amount of interest that you would be charged if you used the full Next availability....2

I once had over a thousand on it for a bed and mattress, but cleared it off in 3 months. I agree, the interest would be astronomical if it was minimum payments on £5k, shudder. When I first got my Next account I thought I’d made it, the pinnacle of credit lines 🤣 now I avoid it like the trap it is!Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I had a 5,000 limit I went on the site and reduced it to 600 four days later received an email congratulating me as they were raising my limit to 5,000. I rang and reduced it and they have set it so that I have to request an increase.4

Having said all this about Next. I have just logged on and bought some new birkenstocks as my old ones had crumbled apart. They are expensive but last for years and oh so comfy.3

Your experiences of Next are all really interesting. I don’t think I would shop in the Next shop, I’ve only ever bought online it’s so easy to use I buy things that are out of my budget. I’m glad it’s all paid off now.
Good news again today as Barclayc*rd have refunded me £13.56 in fees, this has been paid to PRA who currently manage the account - shame it wasn’t a bit more 😂 but it all helps.
Going to get some books on to music magpie today, need a clear out and they are just sitting around, I am using these small sales to pay off my Monzo OD (it’s within my DMP) I think I have about £250 to clear.DMP 2021-2024: £30,668 £0 🥳

Finally received a default notice from MBN* today woo hoo it’s a year after the others but means no more threats of added interest!Although this month is really tight financially I am feeling super positive about my debt repayments.I’m wondering if I should be saving for full and final offers now as a lot of my balances are really low

Thank you. It's amazing what a difference setting yourself a budget makes. I also sold anything I could, I.e old phones. Did surveys. Also have a lodger which really helps. I could repay my dad quicker but he's insistent that I save it instead to have a buffer. Really should update my signature. Just focus on one change at a time.natlie said:Wow @Sarahwithlove your debt repayments are really inspiring*Dad loan - £5300 - £7000
