I agree,  sometimes we also set ourselves too high objectives. My old line manager did everything to talk up the team and ensured we got as high bonus as possible. However I love the company I work for and it's a two way street. they pay well and give good bonuses, we put in the hard work and don't take the biscuit.  I would feel a fraud if I hadn't worked hard or knew the company was in a difficult financial position.

Oh don’t let that keep you awake, it’s not you who decides your pay increase that’s down to your boss. What he says goes 👍🏻. It’s been a difficult year for everyone so maybe some allowances have been made.
your allotment is looking good, that must keep you busy x

Thank you everyone, I guess it is up to my boss, he’s obviously put thought into it as I did my review a while ago.

@Parkyp this time of the year the allotment keeps us really busy there’s a lot of ground prep and weeding to do and clearing of old dead brambles. It’s really worth it for the amount of veg we get back in the summer, it’s raining to day for the first time in ages and I’m glad because it will get a good watering.

    Hello

well MBN4 has started to add interest of over £85 to my account each month which is very frustrating as I’ve been in my DMP since June and was hoping they would have defaulted. I have posted in the DMP support thread for advice.

this week I had to spend £250 on two new fillings, which I could really do without! My teeth are great though.

Work has been stressful this week so I’ve been reading in the evenings to take my mind off it.

    Hi Natlie,
If you are with dmp company, I would advise them and the will contact mbna to confirm that your circumstances haven’t changed.
£250 for filling ouch that must have been painful in the purse 😮,

    Enjoy your book

Yesterday was a nice day, I had a meeting with my team at a local park and some lunch out, it was such a nice treat. I cycled over the park to meet them, I miss my cycle commute to work.

My husband had his jab on Thursday and has been really ill, I was lucky and had no side effects so I have had some extra chores to do whilst he recovers. We are catering a small lunch today.

I have plenty to keep me busy this weekend, I haven't been to the allotment for a few days, it must need a good water.  need to go again today
I need to do the household cleaning and especially hoovering.
I need to clean out the bunnies.
I have about 3 loads of laundry to do
I need to do a fridge sort out
I need to put my bike away
I need to pop to B&Q to get paint for my daughters bedroom
I will be tidying up the front garden because some litter has blown in off the road and I need to strim the grass

That's probably not all of it, but its a good list to start with
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend

Morning, you’ll be a busy bee today. The sun is shining here so that’s good. It’s really strange how the vaccine affects different people.
    Enjoy your lunch.

    Hello,

So I made a mistake in the last entry my landlord has put up the rent by £100

I am feeling sorry for myself today after more dental work, root canal today and hygienist yesterday has cost £450 this week  my mum told me I could borrow the money when I booked it but yesterday she told me she would only lend £100 which is disappointing.

My budget this month is going to be awful, I am really going to struggle with the grocery shopping so will be back to store cupboard only meals and OLIO.

I called SC about MBNA adding interest to my account they said they'd write to them at the end of May, so I am going to complain in the meantime to see if I can get it stopped myself. £80 interest the payment is only £55 a month without interest.

I was gifted a free shed last week secondhand for our allotment but one day of rain and the roof fell in, I've been offered 2 pieces of plywood so hopefully they will be fine and we'll add some batons to support the new roof. Talking of rain that was a relief, 5 dry weeks was not good for veggies

    Hi All,
it has been a year since i started my DMP and I have paid off £8261, with £23,526 outstanding and £180 to Next.
Everything feels quite difficult and stressful at the moment. Home life feels tense and I don't feel 100% well but I can't put my finger on it. I'm actually wondering if its peri-menopause
My anxiety has got worse too

Not the most positive post - sorry
