Morning folks!
Fewmin today. We had a big thunderstorm last night at about 10.30 that kinda bypassed us and went up the wrong side of the river. To add insult to injury, I'd left my washing out. Grrr. It better dry off again.
Today's plan is allotment and relaxing. Allotment joys will be picking the first peas and furtling for some new potatoes! We have a couple of nice pork chops to go with them tonight- oh my word it was amazing! I pan roasted the pork chops with sage (from the garden) and wet garlic (from the allotment). Had the new pots with mint (garden) and butter.

Morning CLF and all who follow. More repetition here but keeps us in the straight and narrow:
washing done overnight to peg out, another one in. One more to go.Some ironing. There’s something that doesn’t appear ever in my list but needs must for a few items 🤣
something out of freezer for tea
some more jigsaw that was gifted
last bit of housework
sew on a couple of badges.Plant out a couple of big plants.Have a good day all. Purps.4 -
@carrielovesfanta im glad the test result was negative for u. Its good u got tested though.
@1LuckyLady i'm in N.Wales and i'm glad that we are not rushing out of lockdown. When i was at the doctors last week i was saying how things must have really changed for them and they were saying how people are still really scared. Those counties with low figures want to keep them low.
@Baileys_Babe and @ziggy2407 i quite agree with u, it is wealth before health and England would be a little too fast for me. I wouldnt be happy.
Today will be
-i must paint a wall i have been meaning to do for awhile.
-more washing out. DD changed the beds last night so washing pile full again.
-still eating from DDs things she brought home. Slowly getting through them
-zoom get together later
and a take it easy day doing my own thing without feeling guilty i should be focused on paperwork. Oh crumbs ive just remembered i have a webinar tomorrow-no prep, happy days!!
Have a great day everyone. Stay safe x

Hi All
I still have a lot of cleaning to do, the weather was supposed to be good today but its raining so I still have loads of laundry to do.
I've run cleaner through the dishwasher.
I am planning to sort through my Eb*y pile today and list some things, might be able to put some on FB Marketplace. I think I have sold a fish tank - pending collection for £20.
I have a box of books I never got round to posting because of lockdown so will re-do them in the Zapper app.
I have had a letter from one of my creditors and they have defaulted me straight away so thats lucky and I don't feel as worried about future letters

Morning allEarly morning dog walk in sunshine, but raining now. Garden needs it, but I fear for my tomatoes because the weather feels 'blighty'. Hopefully we will get away with it. I have made and potted my pink grapefruit marmalade this morning, and done the resulting washing up, but not much else so far:Chopped up some mushrooms that needed doing something with, and reused a washed out freezer bag to freeze them in.Checked the banksPulled out some poppies from the veg patch - they seed themselves, and I allow most of them to grow, but a few had to come out because they were encroaching too much on smaller plants. They grow so quickly! I also have some gladioli coming up in unsuitable places - these were some bulbs that I put in the compost after they had flowered last year or the year before - I am not by any means a fan of pillar box red gladioli, but DD had bought them for me for Mothers' Day at some point, small GD having chosen the colour. I left some in the front garden to do their own thing, but these particular ones, which GD had planted in various odd places at the back, I pulled out and composted. But they were obviously still viable when the compost got spread around. I now seem to have them everywhere! I will let them flower then move them to a space in the front garden, and they can take their chance. Though having survived being chopped about and living a year or so in the compost, they are probably indestructible!Other plans are to mend a pair of OH's trousers, which are ragged at the hems and lacking a button, use up some leftovers for lunch, pick whatever needs picking in the garden, water anything that needs it (will only be greenhouse seedlings and basil and maybe one of the hanging baskets) and cook a chicken for dinner later.3

Evening all,
The weather has been lovely here today so I've been out for a 3 mile walk with ds2, a 1.25 mile walk with ds2 and OH and another mile tonight after tea.
Other then that, we've moved a bit more furniture around to make some space, we've washed a load and hung out on the line to dry. Made a chicken & potato curry again as we had a big pile of spuds plus we've made a big pot of mash ready for meals later in the week.
I feel bad saying this but I'd kind of hoped for a day this weekend with bad weather as I had lots of jobs I wanted to be doing indoors really. Ah well the bad weather will return I'm sure.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
