Morning folks!
Good news. I got a text and email at about 9.30 last night telling me that my covid test was negative. I'm not surpised as I'm not ill but it was nice to be reassured and to reassure work that the cough is either:
Anxiety
Hayfever
Pneumonia induced asthma
Some sort of random thing
A combination of the above
I don't know why but my body decided that it was going to ping to life at 5.30 this morning (I mean SERIOUSLY?!) and I'd had a slightly late night, but I seem to feel fairly ok and full of plans. Here's today's list:B/L/D from stores
Pick up click and collect shop
Nip to butchers and deli shop next door
Defrost the freezer as I noticed that it wasn't shutting very well last night - door open and ice dripping out. All done now. Door closing correctly.
Dye my hair - dye is on
Fix the front window as a bit of frame came off
Check PMP- done
Attempt to fix freezer drawer with contact adhesive. Will need to buy a new one though when (if?) we move out. Drawer appears to be holding
Scraped expensive scented candle wax out of holder and into a little foil tray as a wax melt
In a non-mse thing, I am going to treat myself by going to the local DIY/homewares shop. This may not sound like much of a treat but I loooove this shop. I can never leave empty handed. I do have a list of actual things that I need to buy though so it's an authorised trip. It will only be my third shop visited since the start of the lockdown and two of those were for food.- no spend here as cba queueing
Have a lovely day all

Morning, my body also woke me up early, 4:40 this morning! So I got up, had a blessed coffee, loaded the dishwasher, topped up the cat litter and considered the need to change my diet as my sugars are way out of control. Low carb is just so expensive and the food we currently have is not LC and it’s not like the food budget is overflowing to be able to buy more appropriate food. So we will work with what we have. I did something to my neck yesterday and have been in a lot of pain - you know the spot where your shoulder meets your neck. So loaded with paracetamol and deep heat spray...Not a NSD today as bought some vitamins from the Rain Forest Company (my hair is thinning badly), all budgeted for but I did have to grit my teeth to spend the money lol
Anyway onward and upward...
Check bank and budget - Done

@1LuckyLady its hard going in Wales isn't it? Theyre talking about it being another 3, 6 or 12 weeks on BBC news.
Im with a zoom group on a Saturday and they say what they've been up to and then they all say sorry we forgot about u!
Talking of which must do homework for tonight!
-RM survey to post
-finish cleaning bathroom. It's been having a good deepclean so doing it bit by bit.
-food is easy. Still using up bits DD brought home which means i dont have to go shopping for awhile.
-washing out while nice.
Thats it. Doing nothing else. Still taking it easy as my body is on a go slow, so actually listening to it!.......won't lastDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Glad your result was negative CLF. Are you going to go to the doctors to see what it is though as it’s been around a while hasn’t it?My list for today:
peg washing out done overnight
get some more on as forecast is good
start sorting out in one room ahead of getting a new piece of furniture in there later this week, however it won’t be tidy until unit arrives
housework day so DH and I will get in with that
start a jigsaw we’ve been lent
something out of freezer for tea. May make rolls and have a bbq
knit
have a good day all. Purps.6 -
@PurpleFairy26 I'm not sure - I might get it checked out once the whole covid thing calms down. It does seem to come and go. And I cough less when I don't think about it... which suggests it's anxiety related. I'm getting much better at recognising my physical anxiety symptoms. It's even more frustrating as a lot of the time I'm getting symptoms, I don't consciously feel anxious!LBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.314

Afternoon all,
@carrielovesfanta so pleased that you got the negative result
@Happy_Kitties We're doing ok with the lockdown to be fair and as @Baileys_Babe & @ziggy2407 mentioned I'm glad we're on a slower release as England seem to be moving at quite a pace.
@Baileys_Babe I've not made a cake at all in such a long time as I'm trying to get us all fit and healthier. Its my birthday later in the month though and I think I'll make the cake for then
We've been out for a longer walk this morning, I've done an exercise dvd, had lunch, had a message we needed to discuss from the school and then have had an hours facetime with my parents. Other then that we've not done a lot!
In the way of small things..all meals from stores, crumpets for breakfasts, cheese and onion toastie with tomatoes on the side for lunch and I'm cooking a chicken to have with salad and a jacket spud for tea.
built ds1's new chair with him, he's so pleased with it and will be much more comfortable for him whilst doing his school work for the forseeable also
cooking the chicken in our convection microwave, 10 mins preheat and then 33 mins to be cooked to perfection
will put the bones in the slow cooker to make stock overnight
following our new routine of computers/tvs not being switched on til after lunch on a weekend. A few less hours of electricity being used and it meant we got out early for our nice long walk.
going to pop some corn shortly and watch a film with dh this evening
sorted out my purse, binned lots of MOC's dated over lockdown period. My purse hasn't left the house in the whole of lockdown!
Thats it for now, take care all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Afternoon allGlad to hear of your negative result @carrielovesfanta - that is a relief, even though you were pretty convinced you didn't have it, it will set your mind (and your colleagues' minds) at rest.Today looks like this:Early morning dog walk, 5.30 start this morningSaw an ebay item had sold overnight, so packed it using all recycled packaging (well, apart from the tape, obviously). It can be posted on Monday.Listed 2 more itemsStarted a batch of pink grapefruit marmalade - I say 'started' because the peel needs to soak in water overnight. I will boil it up tomorrow.Load of washing on the line - I am keeping an eye on the weather as it is not looking settled.Watered basil plantation, lettuce seedlings etc in greenhouse, and one hanging basket which was dry. Not sure why, the other two were fine.Picked strawberries from hanging baskets and troughsLunch was pate from freezer with toast, salad and HM chutneyDinner will be turkey steaks from freezer, which I will egg and breadcrumb and serve with a few chips and more salad. I have a bit of a lettuce mountain going on at the moment!6
