What small DFW things will you do w/c 8th June?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important 😀

Morning all. Another week rolls round! Thanks for the mentioning WO method Carrie. Did a bit of research last night. I’ve mainly been using water only since Jan but didn’t realise it was a ‘thing’ so may take this opportunity to fully transition! It’s amazing what you can learn from this thread!Today list -
make jelly with water in kettle from first coffee of the day
check banking and update budget sheets. A couple of tiny bits of interest in today
something out of freezer for tea from planner
more knitting, want to finish the heel today. Got loads done yesterday
some tidying
peg washing out done overnight and put another load in
DH will hopefully be able to mow the lawn if it stays dry and dig over another borderHave a good day all. Purps.7 -
Morning
Thanks PF for starting, i hope it stays dry too, I left my towels out last night and they got wet.
I've been writing a new DF diary thread today, and I spoke to PayPal and got hold of my Credit Account number, they are the only account I have had to call for account details.
I spoke to SC and gave them my PayPal details, just waiting for the agreement and DD form to be processed now.
Today:
Im working from home so mostly working
Book Club lunchtime we are speaking to the author about the book we've just read
Lunch will be bagel, i might have hummus and salad in it today
Dinner - possibly veggie burger and salad or maybe pasta
Checked the bank and the cheque I posted last Weds hasn't been processed yet - not appearing in account (they received it on Friday signed for) should I be worried?
Have a good day

Morning allGood progress made this morning, I have attacked the front garden, hacked down the red valerian stuff that grows everywhere round here like weeds, cut back a spiky Japonica / quince bush, pulled out love in a mist that had finished flowering (they seed everywhere, but they are pretty and I don't mind) dug out the dandelions from between the path paving stones, and tidied up and watered the pots. Decent bit of exercise together with this morning's early dog walk - and I need to walk to the post office this afternoon to drop off my parcels. Also cleaned up the ktichen. Hoping for a good night's sleep after all that!Other plans:Feed tomato and strawberry plants and pea pots, and water anything that needs it. We had a bit of rain over the weekend, but not enough to do much good unfortunately.Sort out fridge and see what needs freezing or usingLunch will be cheese and salad sandwiches as I have a lettuce mountainDinner will be pasta and HM tomato sauce from the freezer, with more salad.@Natlie, I would imagine that the bank will process your cheque today - I don't think that stuff gets done over the weekend.Hope everyone has a good day

Hi Everybody thanks Purple Fairy for starting this and thanks for having me back. Well what can I do this week in the small things department! Today was NSD so a good start to the week.
Bicycled to appointment at hospital.
Went for a walk with ds - the air was back to normal pestered w car fumes.
Had a free video chat with sister, lovely.
Kind neighbour gave me a sewing machine from 1972, might have a go and see if it works tomorrow afternoon.
Tomorrow I have got some boxes to put away.
We were meant to drive to the beach tomorrow which is quite far, so I think we will just go for a walk, I might treat teh boys to an ice cream if we get the chance.
And I might try to do a sourdough pizza.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Morning,
Its really lovely here this morning so going to do a load of laundry shortly and put it out to dry - the rest of the weeks is terrible according to the forecast.
My cheque cleared last night and I paid it into my EF, SC also got in touch to say my DMP is ready to go on 1st July and they've contacted all my creditors so I just need my DD date and SC password now.
Today
Laundry
Moved cheque to EF
Dishes
Pasta for dinner (my son really want chippy chips though)
Online grocery shop
That's it I think apart from work and homeschooling
Have a good day all

Morning allChilly, grey and sort of airless feeling today, feels close and stormy. Not actually raining though, so did our usual early morning dog walkToday's plans / small things:Fed dog with bits of cooked meat scraped from stock bones, with his biscuits. 'Free' dog food, and he loves it. He is very small, so a tablespoonful of meat is a meal for him. He doesn't cost much to feed in any case (I buy good quality food, but he only needs small amounts), but this is a real treat for him, he much prefers it to the expensive little trays that he usually has.Update online grocery order due tomorrow DoneGet ancient camper van booked in for MOT. DVLA are no longer extending MOT dates it seems. Done, booked in for next week, fingers crossed!List a few bits on ebay, must get back to this Done, listed 5 small itemsKitchen and bathroom clean up DoneHoovering, might ask OH to do this Done, by OH.Sort out postal survey stuff, which arrived yesterday and is all over the dining table DoneSort out and clean fridge. Meant to do this yesterday but ran out of steam DoneWater anything in the garden that needs it DoneFill a space in one of the front garden pots with a succulent thing that has outgrown its small pot DonePick mangetout and strawberries DoneDig more potatoes DoneEat some of salad mountain for lunch DoneDinner will be frittata (and more salad) DoneMake a lamb casserole in the SC for later in the week, with some frozen lamb pieces from Icyland and various fridge shrapnel DoneAlso checked the banks, planted out kale plants in a space vacated by a few potato plants, and netted them, made a small batch of strawberry jam with a bag of strawberries gifted by a neighbour. They are the kind that are all the same size, shape and colour but don't actually taste of much, so jam is the best use for them. Only made one and a half small jars, and for some reason it has set really firm. Most unusual for strawberry jam! Anyway, it tastes nice, I am reliably informed.Long list today, better get on!Quite pleased with today's achievements
