Looking after the pennies

What a week. Payday has been and gone and I'm 130 up a month which is brilliantx straight to the CC. Unfortunately I scraped someone's car in asda at the weekend and have been trying to sort out quotes with the lady this week, she's just come back 1700 😢😢😩😭 she's gone directly to audi so I've asked her to go to another repair shop for a comparison quote. Our insurance has 530 excess and I'll lose 3 years NC so not great at all for me by the looks of things 😩Pennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.221

Well, I am back....and certainly haven't been looking after the pennies!
A small update because it has been so long I can't even remember where we left off....Although I am in more debt now than when I left. The buy-out at work has been going well and fingers crossed I am in line for a bonus early 2022 (circa £5k) and a promotion, I am not sure if this has gone to my spendy head and has contributed to my overspending.
Anyway, here we are......I have made a good start on Xmas which I will update on another day and I have my eyes on clearing off the majority of the debt for 2022. to use the bonus towards a mortgage deposit.
I am managing to get some O/T in at work, which will help and can pick up some odd shifts at a local pub to chip away also. We have been horrific at spending lately, me and OH never really buy for ourselves so started which was the odd treat here and there on Klarna (now paid but added up) and FOOD! Takeaways, food wasted, hello fresh etc so today I am going to give myself the Kick up the $$$ I need.
Will update on totals this week, but for now, NSD today which is needed, we have food in for tea tonight and tomorrow and we are all full of this HORRIBLE COLD
Hopefully some of you are following along, or will start to keep me going as god knows I need the support lol!Pennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.222 -
Home from work and decided to start as I mean to go on....spag bol for tea courtesy of OH and enough left for lunch tomorrow
I have had a look through my statement and can see that lunches have been a big spending point for me lately so going to aim to take at least 3 days a week.
I have sorted through some washing as the clothes mountains seemed to have reappeared, found some of ds2 trainers and a coat of ds1s, both branded and too small so going to pop on ebay this week. Also started to pack some of the summery bits into a suitcase, it's done nothing but rain today and with no holidays on the horizon I can't imagine we will be needing them for a while.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening, going to have a long soak tonight and watch some TV in bed once the boys are down xPennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.221 -

Morning All,
Woke up feeling a lot better today with just a bit of ear-ache left now, DS2 woke a few times with ear ache too so hoping we are at the end of it and we will all be clear over the next day or so!
I am working from the office today, lunch remembered this morning and didn't stop for a coffee (I will take any progress at this point).. I plan to take a little walk at lunch as I ordered 2 pairs of jeans last week a size up (they are very tight) so it won't do me any harm. NSD was planned for today, got to work and no tea bags so I have paid, however will be claiming back so technically I am still on track.
I had a lovely soak last night and didn't end up ebaying, however I have put both items on the breakfast bar to make sure I sort as soon as I get home tonight so will get that sorted and then we are having Keema Curry tonight with the left over mince & I am going to get my banking set up on my new phone.
OH pay day tomorrow, so will update my totals and sort my S/S etc. Hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday whatever they have planned!Pennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.221 -

Morning all,
WFH today DS1 was quite bad yesterday he was in bed most of the day and missed his Muaythai class again which isn't like him. He has woke up so much better today which is good news but DS2 is still in bed so keeping them both off just in case. Pancakes are on the cards for breakfast, my dad made a Sunday dinner and made extra batter for the boys breakfast.
I was spendy last night, to the tune of £95.00, OH is having a well deserved night out this weekend and needed a new shirt due to the covid lb's, he had been eyeing some really nice ones up but hadn't ordered. I decided to order him it as his birthday present as his bday is next month, he can wear it for that also and for Xmas day lol. I popped it on clearpay so its over 4 x payments interest free, I have said I will work a shift at the pub on Saturday which will cover the first payment with some left over.
I have been watching Rich House Poor House lately and I am going to go through the SS today to look at how much we have left over per week after bills. Me & OH get paid 2 weeks apart but we usually include Food, Xmas etc and then see what is left so might try this way for a while and see if we have anything left lol, I am going to set up 4 YNAB pots for the weekly amounts and see if that works for us ?
Have a good day all! xPennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.221
