Thankyou for the suggestion @WinterWarrior!! I do love a good clear out it's just making sure if you pull it all out it gets cleared. I am going to Marie Kondo the washing today its all getting tipped on my bed, by the end I will be that sick of it I am sure to clear out at least half
I have worked through the budget this morning and OH now has £25 left for the week so he is paying for his syns. We are going to try it for the month and then revert back to a % or old way of budgeting if we need to.
I did an Icyland shop this morning with free delivery for tomorrow evening (£46) which has enough to keep us going until the week after. I logged onto DS1 school meal account today to top up, he has a residential trip next year which needed a deposit of £35 paying so I cleared that and there was a notification to pay the panto trip. The letter must have gone out last week whilst the boys were off but thats £34 I now need to add to the budget so they can both go.

£40 to last me until 25th, returned a top back to next today for £14 so that should hit the account soon and will go straight off the CC. Spent £9.20 at the shop on some final bits so £30.80 left for the week. Also took two bags of clothes to the clothes bank for £3.20 so have put that in my money pot (anything at the end of the month is split between CC and Xmas fund) x

Morning All!!
13 bags of rubbish taken to the tip over the weekend, 2 bags for life to the clothes bank, and 10 items listed on ebay this weekend. I still have a basket of things to upload, but going to do a few a day/week so I don't lose momentum.
Working from the office today and have brought lunch so no spends there today, we have a food shop coming tonight for the rest of this week however this is between 7pm-9pm so think I will need to call for some chicken on the way home.
Nothing much planned for this evening, got a wash to put away and do tea and the boys will be back at Muaythai hopefully (dad will take them).
In exciting news, I feel like I have finally made a decision re the house! I am going to wait until the end of this month and put into the council to buy, hopefully the process takes around 6 months as that will have some bank statements I won't cringe at, time to pay off more debt and my bonus should have come through for the deposit. I would then like to try and take 20k out of the house, to go into the attic and build a split bedroom, tile the bathroom and then have a conservatory for the back of the house to have a dining room etc in. This will make it practical for us all for the next few years. Still very early days but I feel like I have a plan now at least!
I had a DD go out today to AOcare for the freezer and dryer which I had budgeted for at payday, so £30.00 remaining! (Will remember to adjust SS for next month. I have also broke two of the freezer plastic drawer fronts so going to try call today and make a claim, then may cancel this going forward.
Have a good monday everyone!Pennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.222 -

Hi All,
This week has been an odd one, I feel like I have had lots to do but aren't much further forward! We had DS1 & 2 Parents evening on Tuesday and they went really well, especially DS1 who is in Y6 so heading off to Highschool next year
I have had one bid on my eBay items this morning, and some of the other items have lots of views and watchers so fingers crossed. I have some items to list still but haven't had time to post anything else yet, I am however going to pop some old Halloween costumes on tonight on a 2/3day bidding so that I can post them out for Halloween.
I have been a bit spendy this week, but nowhere near as bad as usual so it just shows how taking note of what's going out can really make a difference. Still no takeaways which is an achievement for us. OH sister coming for tea tonight so I am making a chilli again, the boys break up from school today so just need to sort out there plans for next week and book some club days in!
Other than that, I am quiet on the prolific front since my day of surveys last week and it is 4 days until payday!!
Take care everyone x

Had a bit of a breakthrough today, we have so many things coming up in November and December already that I’m a little nervous how we are going to afford it all. Got invited to a birthday brunch early November, but I’m already doing one with the same people in December for someone else within the groups birthday. I messaged this morning and apolgised and said I wouldn’t be able to make it, that I would see them all in December and was really looking forward to a catch up….but that I was really trying to focus on paying a few things down as the mortgage situation is so up in the air. I got a text back saying completely understood and they actually all decided afterwards to give it a miss and go in Dec, as things were tight with Xmas coming etc or they were pretty much skint anyway. It just goes to show doesn’t it !!! £30 saved !!Ds1 still isn’t great, he’s fallen asleep the last two days during the day which isn’t like him. So this weekend we are taking it easy. Paid holiday club today for next week just one day so far so £45 hoping that is all it will be. I have had to put this on the Cc which I’m disappointed about but didn’t have much option as payday is Monday.
In MSE need, I had some cashback confirmed on Quidco so drawn £8 which will go off CC..Hoping for NSD tomorrow and do some more de cluttering, I’ve got a bid on a few eBay items and I’ve some old Halloween costumes I want to list over the weekend. I’m also on standby at the pub for a shift. XPennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.221 -
Woke up this morning to clear sky’s and no rain 🥳🥳 I love the autumn colours but can’t stand when it’s pouring down. Indoor football today for DS2, my wage went in this morning so I can crack on with my budget 🤓 I plan to do it there over some toast and I’m taking my own coffee.
Took Ds2 to Muaythai last night and paid fees he very kindly charged me £10 less as the boys have missed a few sessions due to not being well and DS1 still couldn’t go last night. I also brought my own coffee so felt very MSE.

Great to hear your group decided to knock one outing on the head. Sometimes all it takes is one person to be honest about finances and everyone is relieved as they're in the same boat.
Hope DS feels better soon. I'm glad it's not raining as I'm standing in a park waiting for 11yo football to kick off.Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again2
