@Naomim, I bought a condenser drier a few months ago and have found it really easy to stay on top of the washing since as I used to hate having wet clothes on the airer etc. It's the putting away I never seem to get round to and I've now got 2 quite large clean wash baskets which I also need to tackle today  :D

Hi! You commented on my diary and our numbers are oddly close! I'll be following along with your diary from now on. It will be interesting to see how you're getting on.
I didn't even know they did a dinosaur version of operation! I don't have kids but I want that for myself
I feel your pain with the laundry. I've been living in sweatpants since March and have gotten really out of practice with that.
We are so close aren't we, even our starting figures. Hopefully we can cheer each other along with bringing the numbers down and building up some sort of EF  :D

I also have a drier but don't use it much but do use the heated airer.  Best investment.  Like you, it's not the washing that's the problem,  it's being bothered to put it away 😔

Whenever the washing is dry it gets sorted and piled on the beds.  In order to get into bed the clothes need to be put away so there is never a build up.  Don't know if that would help you but it might!

I used to just pile it all up on the sofa and then eventually get round to putting it away when it started falling over, LOL! but sorting immediately definitely works for me and only takes a few minutes each time I do the washing.

When I do get round to it mine also all goes onto my bed to be sorted, I have to do it straight away as otherwise its all over the floor as my ds are partial to a bit of wwe on my bed lol  :D in 1 way it's great because as soon as I start I have to finish it, which is probably the reason I precrastinate so much starting xx

  • Woke up feeling extremely meh this morning, both boys were awake long before usual times and were 100mph from the get go.. Gave myself an hour or so to feel sorry for my sen and just finished cleaning the kitchen and feel a bit better now tbh. I packed my 6 ebay parcels last night and was going to pop out today and post but decided to wait until tomorrow instead, planning on giving everywhere a good vac have dinner then take the boys for a nice walk at the park.
I picked up ds2 presents from my mums yesterday so want to get them wrapped tonight whilst the kids are in bed. Was quite proud of myself today as ds2 has asked for a skateboard for his birthday a few times recently which I hadnt bought. Looked on argos and could pick one up for £20, I was uumming and arring then sil messaged asking if there was anything he would like so I've asked her to get it instead. She usually spends that amount and whilst it might not seem like a big deal, in the past my debts have massively mounted up on birthdays and Xmas as I always wanted everything they asked for to come from us so I knew they had it, also probably because as they reaaaally wanted them I wanted to be the one to give them it. I think I've realised now though it doesn't really matter who it comes from.

Ive found a few bits to stick on ebay but I've decided to put the washing away when I get home, start tea and then if I have chance pop them on, if not they will be done next weekend probably.

  • Hi all,
Quick check in today I spent £3 yesterday on some lunch as we didn't have any spare tea on Sunday LOL, yesterday wasn't a great day I felt really achy and tired in the evening and had a dodgy stomach so had an early night but felt better for it this morning.

I've got one ebay parcel to get packed and posted for tomorrow, and it's ds2s 5th birthday tomorrow  :D I'm hoping the weather is as bright as it was today as if so I'm going to take the boys out on their bikes. We have a takeaway planned for tea which I have £28 budgeted for. I'm hoping there is some left over as it's a really tight week this week, I've ordered my click and collect already which was £68.00, im collecting this on Friday straight from work so it's one less thing to do at the weekend.... Still awaiting my 20 refund which is really winding me up now, I returned this in November! Also awaiting £14 from somewhere.

Other than that we are all okay, apart from the cat who I'm getting a little worried about. He went out on Monday am for an hourish and was soaked through when she came back, I dried her off but I'm sure I heard her cough once or twice. Then yesterday she sounded really stuffy and was sick today, can cats get colds?

I've asked school if the boys can attend Thursday and Friday, but haven't had a reply yet. I've booked tomorrow off to spend it with the boys for ds2s birthday so looking forward to enjoying that with them x

  • Evening everyone,
Had a nice day off today for ds2s birthday, he was over the moon with his gifts. One of them was faulty unfortunately so I've got onto amazon today to try arrange a return, it took some arguing as I bought it ages ago and had it put away but thankfully they have emailed me the return info. Dd2 has had a really good day and despite all my worrying said it was the best birthday ever.
We have played lots of games both Mario, dinosaur operation went down a treat, he got an archery set from my mum so we had lots of target ptectice and played with some of his figures etc.

I'm back to work tomorrow after an utterly rubbish meeting Tuesday so not looking forward to it at all, I did an hour of emails this morning before the kids woke up and the boys are both in school Thursday and Friday which they aren't happy about.

Called the vets about the cat, they have said to keep an eye on her and if she gets any worse to bring her in, the boys are gutted as last time she was at the vets we didn't know if she would be coming home so I'll be hoping she's better in the morning.

Other than that my refund for £20 is finally getting somewhere after another irate call yesterday, should be only a day or so now. Spends have been good today and I have now got £9 left in my weekly budget and a click and collect paid for on Friday. X

  • Happy birthday to DS2 💝 sounds like he's had a great day!
Hope work isn't too bad tomorrow and I'm sure the boys will be okay once they're actually in school, the change of scenery may do them some good.
Hope the refund is sorted quickly following your phone call 🤞
  • Thank you @DancingInTheRain I always get super anxious for a while when the directors go completely left in their meetings and change all the goalposts, I'm sure I'll be fine x
