Ooo that is a juicy survey! I don't really have time to do those kind of ones or to check regularly but have done a lot on one poll lately and it's adding up rather quickly I have to say and they only take a minute or two.
I should have a look at onepoll.  I think I used to do it years ago.
I'll give that a Google I just use prolific and yougov atm x
They recently changed it and you need 2500 points to get £25 cash in. It sounds like a lot when you get about 20 to 30 points a time but there's usually 5 or 6 surveys on there every day and soon adds up and they only take a few minutes to do.

Can I add Populuslive.  The  have surveys of £3 - 5 and pay direct top your account when you get to £50.
  • Thanks very much @Naomim @Sarahwithlove & @janb5 :D I like the idea of having a few as you have to get to £50 on yougov and there around 50pts each so I lose interest for ages after I have been paid out lol

  • I am absolutely fuming, currently on hold with Virgin and have been for some time.  I changed my package in December, I had received a bill for £70ish, however needed a fight refunding £25 and we reduced our package so I was informed a credit would be applied as it was pro-rata'd.  I paid approx £28 in December and thought that was it, just received my bill for January saying my bill is £38 this month (about right) as this contained last months bill which wasn't paid and various credits.  It shows the payment, the credits etc but for some reason shows as if £44 of the bill hasn't been paid, this isn't outstanding as a credit has then gone on in January?  I am just holding to clarify as I don't want this showing as a missed payment on my credit report

  • Managed to speak to Virgin, apparently it does say late payment on my virgin account, but they understand it isn't and said it won't be marked as such on my CR (I have little confidence in this).  Payday today :D Lots of DD going out later in the month but £300 overpay on the big CC and cleared the second....that means 2 small CC cleared this month, I am over the moon with that!! Money all budgeted through YNAB, shopping collected and very little planned for the weekend.

I have spent the evening trying to do my family tree, however I am not getting very far :( Enjoy the weekend all x

  • Morning all,
I hope everyone's keeping well I've found that I tend to be having clear outs and declutters on a weekend and it's really helped my anxiety. Yesterday was the dreaded boiler cupboards, I call them that but they've never had out boiler in there just in the boys bedroom and are floor to ceiling. One was full of things that haven't been looked at in 5 years at least and the other was just full of crap lol. I looked at some storage tubs on argos for £20 which were the right size but managed to re purpose some we already had quite easily so the money was saved. Two large bin bags for the tip today and I also found quite a few things to sell fingers crossed.

@Honeysucklelou2 I went down a family tree rabbit hole all yestrday and Friday night.  My grandad on my mums side died before I was born and we never knew anything about his side of the family, he was from Lurgan in Ireland and I managed to find so much its so interesting. I joined a Lurgan ancestory group on FB and a lovely woman helped me with alot of it, I've now got marriage certificates birth records etc all the way up to my great grandad x 2, my mum never even knew the names of her grandparents and I've been able to find those upto her grandparents on both sides. Sorry to bore anyone but I found it really interesting.

Payday has been and gone and Im really pleased with my 0 balances on two of my CC. The 0% stil hasn't arrived for the balance transfer as of yet but the pin has come already so shouldn't be long now.

Usual planned, trip to the tip, washing to put away and I've got quite a bit to put in ebay and Facebook marketplace x

  • I love family history as well and have done my family tree on my dads side back to the 18th century.  Interesting how families started in different parts of the uk, gravitated towards the big cities like London and Midlands then moved out again.  That was my experience anyway. Fathers family started in Sussex and moved up to London and mums family in Norfolk then moved south to London. The censuses are a mine of information.

My family is the same, 1750's in Norfolk then to Surrey then to London in the 1850's. I'm the first generation to start moving back out to Surrey again. Father's family from Sussex up to London.

Family History is an absorbing hobby but I also found it quite expensive.  I haven't looked at my stuff properly since my eldest was born 15 years ago.
