I was so desperate to bring money in as I had responsibilities that I took a temp job for 2 days stuffing christmas cards in envelopes for a local company (it was actually good fun cause I did it was another girl), I have accounting qualifications under my belt and did what I had to do so I just cant find sympathy for people when they come out with excuses of why they cant do a local menial job0

Honestly, I know that a lot of people on this thread have asked if I am willing to do anything, and I really am. My work experience was in a kitchen, and I hated it- it was loud, smelly, repetitive, I had to get up at a ungodly hour (my mum is friends with the kitchen manager so I got a lift), and I had to deal with rude kids. I am a vegetarian and I would come home reeking of bacon and sausages- it was really demoralising, (not to mention exhausting) but if they offered me a job that I could actually get to I would jump at the chance. I wish it was a case of being picky.
Sometimes you have to do something you hate to move onto something you do like. I work long hours hate my job but I have to earn money. I work in a factory and repetitive isn't the word

a previous poster pointed me towards a company that I think is a bit like that. I know it sounds stupid, but I had never really thought about it before, and the jobcentre staff didn't mention it, so it just never came up! It's a bit of a daunting thought, but I will try to find stuff I think

I agree with you scarlett but have you ever been to the part of the country where the OP lives? It is alot harder where the OP lives, transport is a nightmare and apart from farming and forestry there is little else in these villages.
There is always a solution though and if you're prepared to do anything there is always work.Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings

Right first things first.
Problem 1 for you is there is no way you can get anywhere. So you can either sit there for a few more years saying you can't, or you can, in the next few months sort this out.
I wouldn't be able to get to my jobs without a car either, buses would be a nightmare.
So, sort it out. Only YOU can make this happen.
First thing is to accept any job you can get, even fill in online surveys, matched betting (if your in control of yourself!), get on quidco and do all the freebie stuff.
So, save up 1k (not unachieveable at all).
With that 1k, you can either think about driving lessons and concentrate on that, get yerself a licence. Then you can save again, up to 1k and get yerself a £500 car, tax it and insure yourself and pay monthly.
Or, you could spend that 1k getting yerself a scooter and insurance. That way, your mobile quicker.
Suddenly, you can get to town, you can get whereever your job is, even if it's in the middle of a field, and you can be there for 2am, 6am, 10am, 11pm. Whatever time it is, you can be there.
You then have money coming in, and can either start driving lessons, or if you've gone down that route already, start saving for a better car etc.
It's where we all started. It's just your 20 and haven't yet started. So your simply lagging behind. It's no big deal, just your wasting time. If you continue to sit there saying 'can't' your wasting more time. You'll be 25 before you know it and still sitting there saying you can't.
Once your in a job, you have experience, can move up within that company or move elsewhere etc.
I started off proper working full time kinda thing as a tea boy. I'm now a manager in the same place and work in several different places from word of mouth. I'm also self employed now, people don't want you on the books, so had to figure out self employment. I could have said 'can't but then I wouldn't have as much money coming in. Anythings possible!
It's not making me rich, but it's keeping me on my feet and paying my bills. It would make me rich if I didnt have a house by myself though. And thats the position you will be in when you start working. Loads of 'disposable' income.
Do it, just save up that 1k to start with. It can be done easily.
Look on the competitions board and spend a day entering competitions, look at peoples sigs, see what they are winning. Sell your wins on ebay etc.0 -

I'm torn on this issue.
On the one hand you give the distinct impression of being a complete basket case who is destined to a life of benefit dependency -- because you're high on excuses and low on action.
However, I do have in mind one proper/job that you do from home and which could prove to be very satisfying. If you're interested in my legitimate job/career suggestion, drop me a PM and I'll share it with you.0 -

how do you get to the job centre to sign on ? a JSP is most probably located in the nearest town so if you can get there then you are able to do it to get to work, a doctors surgery, shop, supermarket, local school all offer part time hours. This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0

If it's so good, I'd be interested to know about that too... if not for myself then for others I come across who are "stuck".
I'd be glad to receive details by PM.
I spend a LOT of time evaluating jobs working from home for friends. Not all in this country either, although I try to stick to this country for giving my friends lists, I do evaluate things on a 1-by-1 basis for friends in the states.0
