Was ur case not previously underwritten?PTaylor87 said:
So VIDA confirmed that they have got all our documents and is being underwritten but then have asked for more bank statements showing the build up of deposit over the year! Stressful if you’ve been saving for several yearsPTaylor87 said:
So the mortgage we need is 240k with 20% deposit and earn 80k between usIsmaimran said:
Yeh that's what I thought but I asked the broker he said to pay it off as there have asked him again about it...I think at this rate the rules seem to be different for everyone as it seems. My husbands credit file is squeaky clean so still there not giving the benefit of the doubt and I only have one default which isnt alot of balance and few missed payments that I have told them y. But still have 100000 questions to answerPTaylor87 said:
So what would have happened if you hadn’t have paid it off as I thought if defaults were over 2 years old it was fine but they’d put it on your monthly expenditure at 3% of the balance?Ismaimran said:
It was a Barclay card credit card from 3 years ago..the broker said to pay it off he said that vida have asked if its paid off..PTaylor87 said:
When was the default from if you don’t mind me asking? What would have happened if you didn’t pay it off? Was this the underwriter who’s asked about this?Ismaimran said:
Yep just had a update today from MB.. vida have asked if the default has been paid off which its £945 so will have to pay that off know. But soo confused as there were well aware of the default if vida asked earlier I would have paid off...a few years back I took out some home credit account for stupid reasons I've just paid them off know this... vida just keep the file sat on the desk for weeks and then come back after a few months asking questions every other day...PTaylor87 said:
How much mortgage are u taking out if u dont mind me asking. We are not taking much around 94k and we have more then 20% deposit too
 When did u apply?
Or is it just that there have requested more documents after having the case sat on their desk for months0

No idea as they said back in February it was with the underwriters and then asked for P60s and gifted deposit form and apparently was waiting for offer and then they’ve come back with this today to show build up of deposit so who knows what they’re doing or playing atIsmaimran said:

I honestly don’t know what else they need now. It feels like we’ve sent them everything, furlough forms, gifted deposit forms, P60s, more proof of deposit, more statements, everything! Still no further along and in the darkIsmaimran said:

My MB emailed the Business Development Manager and the 'Ops leader'. I also asked my MB to forward on an email that I wrote. It would be easier for us all if they gave us the process, and then they followed it and kept us updated each step of the way. The frustrating things are being told one thing then something else happening. My deadline for an offer is Friday but I keep chasing and still no offer.PTaylor87 said:If you don’t mind me asking, who did you email in order to escalate? We’ve went off payslips after we were told nothing else was needed and then got told we then needed P60s which we sent and then got told nothing else was needed and then got asked for a gifted deposit form and have been told nothing else will be needed. It just seems like their dragging their heels for no real reason and it’s so frustrating. We were told it would be looked at mid January but has only just started being looked at now!
I did also put a review on google and got a response direct from Vida asking me to email their complaints department. I have not done so yet because that was the day I was told my case had been escalated but to be honest I wish I had as a week later and still nothing. I would suggest that route to anyone that thinks their case has not been handled correctly.0

I just find it mind blowing that they ask for one piece of evidence without checking they have everything else? Like they should review the entire thing and then compile a list of what’s needed! Not say “send us statements” and then a week later ask for more info and then when that’s been submitted ask for even more information! Our case has been apparently “awaiting final review” since the 9th of febJulietkmc said:

Still nothing. Sent over the proof that we still had the deposit in the bank and apparently gone back to underwriters so who knows? I don’t know whether they underwrite the case and then request more or wait until they’ve got everything and then underwrite itIsmaimran said:
