We finally heard from Vida on Friday!
they asked 8 questions, explanation for default, proof of payments on account, confirmation of address and dependants and a question about my employment. I will send all the documents and answers tomorrow and then the wait begins again...... fingers crossed the stamp duty holiday gets extended!
We got our offer on the 9th February, completed and exchange on the same day on 26th February...all moved in this weekend. Keep the faith Vida get there in the end! 💕
After how long did u hear back with the offer from when you answered questions etc
We have sent all requested documents last week so just waiting again
We answered questions on the 6th January. Escalated late January and offer 9th February.

Quick question for everyone and hope you can help? We took it as a positive as we submitted our application at the end of November and had the valuation instructed which came back fine and we assumed we’d passed the initial checks/initial underwrite but looking at this thread it could just be that the valuation was instructed without the initial application being looked at? We finally heard from our MB yesterday asking for some more documents like P60 and proof of address etc but now don’t know whether this is part of the first underwrite or the second one and we should be hopeful about receiving an offer?!

I believe there only check for all documents and then instruct valuation and then its passed to the underwriter were there ask for more documents and questions if there is any..we are still waiting to hear after submitting up to date bank statements and answering all questions

Hi, I submitted them all on Monday. Tuesday my MB got back and asked for a separate proof of address from 24 months ago. I think our case has been escalated as my MB had a meeting with the Business Development Manager at Vida and they are overlooking our case now. My solicitor has also written a letter asking for escalation. I havent been given a date expected for offer but things seem to be moving faster so I am hoping anyday now.
Great news about the stamp duty, finally some good news! Hope you're OK and that we both get offers very soon.

Has anyone had any updates from VIDA or been given an offer yet? We’ve been asked for more P60s, payslips and a gifted deposit form but these have been asked for 1 by 1 and not in 1 go which is so frustrating.

Goodness me it’s so frustrating! Everytime we submit a bit of paperwork they seem to look at a single piece instead of looking at everything and THEN telling you if they need anything else!!! Fingers crossed for you that’s it and you get your offer soon! Apparently the gifted deposit form was the last thing they needed but who knows!
  • Good luck if anyone has had to apply for an offer extension, they have changed there criteria since September on affordablity, so even if you had an offer in September, October, if you need an extension be surprised for a massive shock even if your finances are the same or better.

    What’s changed on affordability?
