Does anyone have any success story’s from Vida homeloans, I’m currently waiting to hear on an application that was submitted almost a month ago, in the meantime I’ve been reading reviews and I’m starting to get very worried about if I will even get my mortgage accepted. To make matters worse I’ve reserved a new build property that is Almost complete so I’m worried about losing that property due to having time wait so long for Vida to make a decision

    Hi

There have been successful outcomes here, so Vida does get the job done. It feels like a very long process, but waiting for the kettle to boil always feels like it is taking ages. Just keep the faith.
  • Well after 23 working days we finally got an update that the valuation had gone well and they are nearly there just a few things to tie up in regards to the leasehold. Now unless it all falls down fingers crossed we can get moving asap!

Good news @mariesch1 seems like you're nearly there!!
  • We are in a long wait too. DIP done on september 2, Application submitted on september 15. Full search done on the same day. VIDA came back on september 27 requesting more information like further bank statements, further pay slips, explanation of individual transactions showing on bank statements. They came back again on October 7 asking for proof of employment, explanation on one of the CCJ and marriage certificate. On October 19 they returned yet again asking further bank statements going back 6 months, partners P60 from last year. We have not heard anything back from them upto now, almost three weeks later. Our application has been with VIDA for 44 days now. The sellers is getting impatient and the EA is calling all times. Should we be losing hope or it will happen?

Keep the hopes high. It is difficult to wait, especially if you do not know what is going on. We have just received an email from our broker saying a valuation has been instructed. We did not pay for our own valuation, so we can only see this as positive as Vida are paying for it. Our reasoning is that they would not pay for something that does not meet their completing criteria. But then it could be us trying to be optimistic.

We will keep you posted. It seems that the waiting is long but Vida does seem to get there in the end.

    Many Congratulations
  • Hi everyone,

I have been following this thread for sometime now. Our application went in on 13/10/2020. On the 19/10/2020 Vida asked for more statements and payslips for Jan/feb of this year. Since then it has been radio silence. Today our mortgage broker has said Vida have instructed the valuation however our case is still in the queue for initial underwriting which is due on 23/11/2020. Apparently Vida are very far behind and are speeding things up as much as they can but this seems like a very long timescale. I thought Vida only instructed the valuation once initial underwriting was completed. Has anyone else had similar. I can see a few of you have had the valuation instructed today?
