Did your solicitors suggest themselves contacting Vida? Ours are going to be contacting them today too. When did you app get submitted?

We did ask our solicitors to contact Vida as things seemed to have dragged for a while. We also breached our 28-day reservation by 13 days, which could mean we can lose our reservation. In a matter of minutes, our solicitors had spoken to Vida (Our MB says it is difficult to get through!!). 

Our full application went in the around mid-September (14th). Hopefully, things will move a bit faster now. But I believe Vida and other specialist lenders are inundated with applications.

Thanks 🙂 just hoping for a smooth last couple of weeks now. It’s been fun to pick carpets, tiles and blinds!! I felt sceptical about Vida because of all of the questions, I just think they’re thorough in a way we’re not used to. Plus every set of questions means you’re the next portion through the underwriting. Things picked up for us when the solicitor got in touch with Vida too!

Hi , I've been following this for a few days know and as we are now at stressing stage within our mortgage app as it went in on the 5th October since then we have not heard much just valuation has been done and it is with an underwriter now, however that was last Thursday then we were told they would be in touch yesterday to be told that they were behind so it would be at least Monday 9th October before we hear anything. Please tell me there may be a light at the end of the tunnel!!

Our latest update is that the valuation was received by Vida yesterday and is now in the queue for review. No idea how long that will take, but our date of entry is supposed to be 20th November, so it would be great to have an offer at some point this week!
Our full application was submitted on 24th September.

Jealous of you all having had valuations and mine still isn't even booked in.

@mariesch1 we had radio silence from them for 4 weeks. They told us we would hear in 9 working days, then 11. It was 22 working days before we had an update which was more questions. We have been asked 4 different questions on separate occasions now and asked for several documents. Its getting frustrating!!

That is what I thought. Just hang on in there. Weekday waiting is bearable. Its the weekend that can be such a drag!!! This forum does help us though as we can share frustrations and the support is awesome. Keep writing and we will write back. And thanks to the kind reassurances from those who have progressed further.
