  • Thank you Sam.
I'm still struggling to sleep but I've been managing to get up a bit earlier, not feeling quite so drained. I keep going from relief to tears and thinking what on earth have I done.

I can't really say no to his beer after handing my notice in and him picking up extra shifts to cover it, I'd be a bit mean.

Cheesecake is just this one https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/chocolate-cheesecake but I double it and just throw in a full pack of value biscuits and tub of cream. I definitely need to try other recipes before they get fed up of Cheesecake 🤣

DH has just gone to bed and next door have a concrete breaker in, i do feel bad that he has to try to sleep over the weekend when everyone usually does there house jobs. Need to clean out the rabbit and bath the pup as he really needs a good brush (poodle) and my sister did say she might pop in today as her older boys wanted to play in the pool.
Need to fetch the receipt from the car to put it into the app.

My sister did come yesterday so we spent a few hours in the garden while the boys were in the pool and the little ones enjoyed the slide. It was really cold out there though so it was followed by a film and hot chocolate all round. I didn't manage much else but didn't spend either.

Today I've cleaned out the rabbit and bathed the pup, hes still damp a few hours later but once he's dry ill give him a good brush to hopefully keep the groomers bill down in a couple of weeks.

Did Dfil hamper and it worked out a bit more than i thought and it looks like i scrimped on cellophane as I cut it to short but didn't Realise until id stuck it to the box.

Tomorrow ill do a debt total and need to do some balance transfers too.

This week will be a check we have everything week, ready for back to school on Friday for DD3. The others go back to school/college on the 7th (even DD1 is going back to do A levels as she has decided she wants to go to uni but can't get in with her child care qualifications). That means I need to get a timetable back up for DS2, who is home Ed.

Well done on everything you’ve achieved this week. And it’s so nice you’ve got to spend time with your new niece and work your sister and family. The hamper looks
    amazing!
  • Thank you both. I did similar for DH,  but on a bigger scale, as it was his birthday and fathers day on the same day and he loved (things ive bought in previous years, like the beer making set, were never used, DH polished this off and made a display from the 20 different bottles 🥺)  so thought id try for DFil we always end up with a bottle of whisky as i never know what to get him.

I was going to do my totals tonight with tomorrow being a bank holiday but Now laid in bed with the dog and cat either side of my legs, hoping for an earlier night.

  • End of August totals are
    Lcard £8841.03
    Bcard £7931.42
    Mcard £2005
    Cfinance £714.48
    BNPL £1276
    Storage Unit £0
    Total debt 1/06/2020 £23415
    Total debt at 30/06/2020 £22636.84
    Total debt at 31/07/2020 £22154.10
    Total debt 31/08/2020 £20767.93

I have just had to do a balance transfer of the whole of Lcard and £1600 from Bcard that 0% ends tomorrow the fees of about £366 means totals won't go down much next month. But half the BNPL should be paid off.

We have just found out there is no competition team for DD2 this season so her monthly dance fees will be a bit cheaper for a year, i can't remember how much it was before she started on the team (plus outfits/comp fees/weekends away at comp). All her classes are on one day at the minute too, saving at least 16 miles a week in fuel (double that if we came he in between).

  • Cutting it fine but I've just paid the car tax (last day today) and this months and next months council tax, surprised I've had no reminders.
Bank is ready for a new month and its good to see that if I really had too, using all main+savings (yearly bills/holiday/occasions/emergency) accounts I could pay the debt down to 12.5k.

I forgot i spent £20 yesterday on 2 slimming cook books, heard good things about them but not sure how much they'll get used.

Tomorrow we have a doctors appointment,  the car needs its mot and DD1 has an emergency dentist appointment,  sure there's something else.
