Hi gang,
Lovely to hear from you @natlie 😘
I started back work this week with a bang... 😴 I've not sent my little girl to nursery yet (postponed her start date and said we'd re-consider it in September) and I really don't want to send her there at the min (we don't even like leaving the house). Plus, I'd chosen a nursery near work so it would mean an 8 mile round trip twice a day just to drop her off for a few hours, which seems mad, and I'm obviously saving a fortune... It's obviously not as easy working with her being around but hopefully we can make it work as I really can't imagine sending her to nursery atm. And loads of other people are in the same boat with school-age kids. It's frustrating because everyone in the business seems completely relaxed about the whole situation except my immediate boss who is going on about his son starting back nursery next month and asking me loads of questions/implying I should do the same... Stress I don't need tbh. If it comes to it I'll just tell him I'd rather quit work - that'll get him to change his tune... 🤔 And I guess it is kinda true. I could just look for another job later on in the year. We've survived the past year on just one wage.
In big ticket items this week:
- I paid off a £990 credit card debt. 👏
- Set up another 0% bal transfer offer for 27 months using the eligibility checker on this site.
I can't remember the last time I put anything on my CC so they're going down down down...
Really not feeling very motivated today with the house. I've kinda put it off all week thinking it'll be easier to do when I'm not trying to work but now it's come to it I cba! That's why I should stick to the Organised Mum Method and do a wee bit each day!! 🤦♀️

My children have always been shampoo-free. I am gradually transitioning, I haven't got the nerve to give to go cold turkey so I now use a sodium lauryl sulphate free shampoo bar, wash it less frequently and use a natural bristle brush.carrielovesfanta said:
Wash hair with water. I am trying to transition to a water only wash. Yesterday I swapped OH's brush (bristles) with mine (plastic spines). He preferred my brush and I need bristles if i'm going to WO.

Well done on thee CC repayment!
I've decided that my children aren't going back to school until we've reviewed in September, I live in Wales and all schools here open on the 29th June for all year groups, but we think its too soon
