    Hello Frugalistas,
I haven't posted on the daily thread for ages, although I am still keeping up my dfw diary. Hope everyone is managing to stay well. These are such odd times & I can't really see it improving much in the near future, really.
CLF - Hope you are getting off to a good start with the new job.
Ziggy - Sorry that the depression is doing its thing. I've never suffered from depression, but the couple of years (ages ago now) when I had anxiety disorder were a big lesson in how some days we just definitely don't feel ok. Busy days are better really, as quite slow days can lead to overthinking & the word you used 'spiralling' is very apt, I think. Take care, anyway x
I'm still not writing a daily list & I think I'm being just as productive. I still have to write tasks which are time limited in my diary so as not to forget them, but otherwise, I am kind of having a couple of priorities each day, & then doing all my daily stuff as usual. I have spent most of lockdown knocking the veggie garden into shape, but I have already talked a lot about my garden in my diary, so I won't repeat myself on here. I haven't deviated from budgeting over the last few months, but we are still spending too much on groceries due to a number of issues.....usual brands/supermarket's own label not being available, shortages of certain items meaning that we will buy extra if we do see them, etc, etc. Our home improvements programme stopped for Lockdown, then started again, then stopped mid-job because of an active jackdaw's nest in our chimney. The main work wasn't booked in until the end of August anyway, so we haven't lost our builders' slot on that, thankfully.
Well, I'd better do today's diary post before getting on with this afternoon's planned activities. I thought I'd pop on here & say 'hello' & to tell you that I am still being a sensible budget girl!
Love to all & stay safe,
    F xx

I am working from home at the moment so my days are mostly spent online in meetings and working on the laptop but I have managed to:
    Completed my DMP Paperwork
    Did a load of dishes
Cycled around the park with DS
Put a cheque ready to post after I found my paying in book
    Printed out DS homework sheets
    Have a good day

    Evening all :)
Seems to have been one of those days when not much has been achieved for some reason. However, small wins and all that, I have managed:
Early morning dog walk as usual
    Checked banks and updated spreadsheet
    Gave bathroom a good clean
Finished up some soup that need using, for lunch
Froze some other stuff in the fridge for later
Boiled up last of the old potatoes, mashed them and added tinned fish, parsley and seasoning and made a big batch of fish cakes, so that was dinner sorted, both for tonight and tomorrow. Used up a slightly ood tin of anchovies in the mix (made them less boring that just tinned tuna)
Picked a few strawberries for our fruit salad later :)
    Watered the back garden
Sorted out the sad blueberry bush. I thought it had died, but it has some new shoots appearing, so I pruned it back, put it up on pot feet to allow it to drain properly and gave it a feed and water. Coincidentally the new blueberry plant I ordered appeared today, and I must go out and repot it in a minute. It is a bit weedy looking, but seems healthy and will soon grow.
Also intend to wash my hair shortly, so that it can dry before bedtime.
