Currently, it's dry outside but they have predicted it is going to damp and cool for the rest of the day, so we will continue to dry the washing in the spare room with all the windows open. We decided to hang the washing the outside as it was sunny and breezy, it did rain a couple of times once or twice quite heavily including hail for a couple of minutes, each time it rained I bought the whole line in - we have a whirlygig, I collapsed the line and carried it in and then took it out again when it dried up. In the end, I dried 2 loads.
Today's plans:
NSD
RM survey
Meal plan We have only done 1 more day, this must be a priority on Saturday
Home educate the children for free
B/L/D from stores
Update freezer inventory
Pmp etc
If I can find the time I would like to bring forward the dates on the standing orders which fill our savings pots.
The kitchen needs a good sort out today. I spent 30 minutes this morning blitzing the kitchen, huge improvement. It will need more work over the weekend, which OH can help with
We are also going to a (Zoom) birthday party. I had bought the presents pre lockdown and spent less than a third of the budget
coordinated delivery with one of my shopping trips, saving on postage costs. We had fun catching up and playing games Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

Good morning all,
I managed to get quite a bit of sorting out done around the house which I was really pleased with. I gave the garage a good tidy and put things back in there where they should be, which is good in the way of small things as knowing where stuff is definitely saves us money!
I pottered in the garden, clearing some space around our roses that were getting a bit swallowed up by some border geraniums (sp?) I hoovered around (which didn't wake the kids up!) I sorted the fridge etc all this before the kids got up!
Todays list
* keep ds2 on track with his school work, I don't want him falling behind with what they've been set as a few weeks ago he'd missed two big tasks and ended up needing to do them on the weekend to hand in, I want the weekend to be schooling free!
* continue with the dance routine he has to learn (then film) I really enjoyed doing it with him yesterday - felt like I'd had quite a good aerobic workout (glad I'll not be on film though!!
) We've got another week to nail it!
* breakfasts are going to be stewed fruit, yogurt/seeds again
* lunch - finish off the homemade leek and potato soup with a cheese and onion toastie I think
* dinner - TBA but will definitely be something we have in!
* check banking/update spreadsheet
* decide later if I'll put a wash in or not, its windy out there but I think its likely to rain (I can't put washing in yet as I know that ds1 will have a pile on his bedroom floor! - I don't understand why its so difficult to put it in the wash bin on a night??
Right it sounds like there may be movement upstairs so I better get moving!
Take care one and all.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

Morning all
Feels like I have been up forever, as after our 6am dog walk and breakfast, I finished the larder inventory I started last night, the Mr Icyland delivery arrived (mostly fresh stuff so not much to go into the larder) and I put it all away.Ziggy, hope you are feeling better, and Narola, I hope that you feel better soon and that the tests etc put your mind at rest.Other things today, besides more coffee:Load of washing, and peg it outside. It is back to dry, cold, windy weather here, with little or no rain forecast. Everywhere is very dry, and local farmers are having to feed their cattle with winter feed stores because there is so little grass
This is a dairy farming area, and supposed to be one of the the wetter parts of the country.I will need to do some watering in the garden later. Need to be as careful as possible with this as the local water provider is appealing to households to manage their use carefully. I reuse vegetable / salad washing water from the kitchen, and use the watering can rather than the hose as much as possible.Update my larder spreadsheet from the scruffy bits of paper that I wrote my inventory onMake a banana cake as I have 3 black bananas. I will freeze it, as I have other cake out - DD1, whom we visited yesterday for a distanced picnic in their field, had made OH a cake for Fathers Day (not sure exactly when that is as both my Dad and F in law have been dead for a long time).Sort fridge out now the larder is tidy!Kitchen and bathroom clean up.I have 3 ebay items ending today. Lots of watchers but few bids. If they sell, I will need to pack them up for posting. Will also pack a spoon that OH has made for a present for our niece (strange present, but she asked for one of his hand made wooden spoons).Dinner will be curry - I got a small tub of HM chicken bhuna out of the freezer to go with the vegan curry I made the other day, as there isn't quite enough left for both of us. OH will be relieved

Morning all!
Thanks to @PurpleFairy26 for starting the thread and I'm glad you had a nice birthday.
@natlie sorry to hear that your were/are being bullied at work. But welcome back to the thread
@jazzyja welcome to the thread!
Sorry to hear that there's a general level of not sleeping well. I hope everyone gets some zzzzz's tonight!
Just going to post first and then catch up. I really appreciate everyone's well wishes for the job
I didn't post while I was in work as I was just finding my feet. I'm only doing 4 days until it ramps up so I'm off today
Weather is a bit windy here with rain and sunny spells. I was so glad for the rain on Weds! I bet the garden was too.
It was quite scary (mostly in my head) and I have been having a bit of a crisis of confidence. Which OH didn't help by telling me not to say that I couldn't do x, y, or z because they might chuck me out before my end of probation!! But i don't think they would as the chaps know me, and the company that I came from. Plus they never checked beforehand what I could/couldn't do. So I hope they are expecting me to learn as opposed to hit the ground running!
I've been quite well behaved though. I have stuck to my healthy eating plan. I have also been for my hour's walk every day after tea. Even when the weather turned crook. Been struggling with my ear a bit again. I wonder if it's hayfever.
I have a new, non MSE toy. A new fitness tracker. I'm hoping that it's going to give me the nudge I need to get back on the gym horse. There's so much data
If you're a data junkie like me then you'd love it too. It's called a whoop band.
So MSE things today:
B/L/D from stores - done
Log cals in free app - done
OH doing a bit of teaching - done
Do a workout!! - done
Pick up shopping. The slots are becoming available weekly now so I can move back to normal shopping instead of overbuying. I keep buying (non-perishables) in multiples or before I need them as I'm worried that I won't be able to get them later - done
Get meat needed from butcher - done
Pick up OH's prescription - done
Budget sheet. Move some money around as my redundancy has been paid and I want to earn a tiny bit of interest on it!!
Update universal credit account to tell them that I have a job. We will probably close the claim soon as luckily we didn't need it and unless I don't pass my probation(erk!) we won't. - done
Keep a small list of tasks that need doing. - done
Have a good one all

Good Morning
Sunshine and showers here and definitely cooler than it has been, so far
Checked Bank & made PAD
Seen mum (and will speak again later) - Took her a pot of yesterdays stew and 1/2 tub of Garlic cheese, double checked bedroom after yesterdays disaster - door slammed and mirror fell off wall smashing everywhere - I went up yesterday and cleared it up as she's unable to bend and her eyesight is shocking (and mine not much better, lol) so made sure I'd not missed any stray pieces. Also sorted out her money issues.
Still to do

Hi all,
How is it Friday already? This week has flown by!
Welcome, birthday wishes, luck and love being sent to all of you - pick which one(s) you'd like
It's been busy here so haven't found time to post although have updated my diary and made a new ss for our credit cards - they look all pretty and I can't wait for the charts to start moving!
Today's list:
- parents are coming over for a socially distanced garden chat as long as the rain holds off
- have washed towels and hoping they'll dry in the wind, if not to the spare room they go
- want to update our travel scrapbook
- all food from stores (b: yogurt and blueberries, l: wholewheat spaghetti & toms, t: enchiladas in the waffle maker)
- need to pick some veg as it's all getting a bit out of hand
- washed hair after the run and am letting it air dry
- should do some cleaning
Went for a run this morning, my 3rd this week and the first lot of running since I ran London Marathon in 2018. Had a car crash two weeks before the marathon and had some injuries, did the marathon on adrenaline and many pain killers and two hours slower than my goal. One injury is still here but I'm running slow and short distances as I feel my mind needs it and hoping as it's flat the hip will survive! All treatment has been stopped on it by the hospital for the time being.
Much love,
R xMy debt free diary
