It’s a beautiful morning. I have put a load of towels into the wm, am having a cuppa and then will stroll up to the allotment. Baby veg has been spied but nothing ready to come home yet. It’s a constant battle with the (now very brave) deer, the resident rabbit and flocks of pigeons.
Other jobs to day include phoning the garage, as they have sent a reminder about the car service and MOT being due. That will stress me all day until I stop procrastinating. DH has to go into work later for the first time since mid-March, so he will have to evacuate the DR for a couple of hours. I might even get to give it a quick run round with the vacuum cleaner. Or maybe not, as it is the hottest room in the house. I have so much paperwork to do, but tbh, emails seem to be poring in and quite frankly look boring!Back later. Have a lovely day all.10 -
pigpen said:roundtuit said:I've only gone and ordered myself a smartphone to replace my ancient Nokia - eeek. Nokia's battery needs charging every five minutes (slight exaggeration - every day) and has a habit of cutting me off mid call. So the time has come, as the walrus said.
Grandad also has an iPad and can Facetime people - go Grandad lol. I hate taking on something new. I know I'll be fine once the phone is here and working and the DD is running nicely but until then I've paid for a heap of trouble and they're going to empty my bank account.
You can imagine how much I am looking forward to replacing Pip

Morning xx
Fully paid up member of WAC here - seriously thought about getting up at 4.15 am but didn't want to disturb Sweetie. I'm nice like that. He gives me 'what the heck?' looks when I appear at 5.30am as it is. Bet you didn't know a budgie could do that
At least I don't have to go to work. Did I mention that I'm on Annual Leave this weeklol
Round 1 =
take clean clothes upstairs
put duvet cover on - cba wrestling with it last night
get washed and dressed
feed the birds
put out the recycling
WUDUPA a bowl of pots
note to self: wash DS bedding when he surfaces
Back later

Morning lovelies
It's so sunny and warm alreadyapparently it's going to been cool from tomorrow onwards with the possibility of rain
Living Room throw pegged out, pots put away and 1 x little person fed as the other is still in bed! Will crack on with the rest of the list till he's up.
Feeling really excited today as I'm taking my DD to see her best friend for the first time since school finished, we're having a social distance picnic since the rules have changed. She has struggled so much with lockdown I know this will give her a massive boost
Positive vibes all round x10 -
Been part of the WAC since 5 this morning, but I am be still in my Pit. I turned off the Young Skints alarm clocks last night because I desperately wanted a lie in after my hard work yesterday.. Typical, they are stillastill and my brain is awake but my body is under protest.....Dump day is looming on the calendar, so I need to chow painkillers and capitalise on the quiet time before I have to educate the skintsThe cold never bothered me anyway10

Morning all. Woke up at half 6 and again at half 7 and managed to get back to sleep so half formulated plan to get up early and strim and mow failed but I think I will. Then a shower
. Meeting my besties for a SD picnic 🧺 in the country park (on my doorstep - lucky me) at 12 and even though I don't work Tuesdays lockdown changes mean I do. Not that it's tricky - I just do the maths for the littlies and my job share everything else. I also plan computing for Y6.
Up and at em then.

Blimey, it has been some years since I have even looked at kitchens as in new the whole kitchen, I am totally shocked at prices how much for a tap and sinks they are arm and leg jobbies.
off to search the internet for reasonable quality but not an arm and leg..................

Back from a potter at the allotment before it got too hot. DH has hung the towels out and presented me with a pile of fleeces etc that need washing. Errrr - you mentioned this in March, what took you so long to sort them out, and on the last beautiful day?? So fleeces and a throw are swishing now. At least they are both things off the list, so I am actually flying for once!
Enjoy the SD picnics, ladies. I dropped DD off yesterday to have similar with her friends in the park, which was good for all of them, I think. Of course, the Council decided that yesterday was a good day to set up roadworks to gridlock the town centre....
Phone call next. Can you tell that I am procrastinating?11 -

DH has washed his car, been for a run, put on WM, hung it out, got it in again - oh, and he cleared up the mess in the kitchen this morning while I was still sleeping! I knew he wouldI have pottered about, rehomed a few toys, sorted through a bag of wellies and pulled out a few weeds in the garden. I also made myself lunch and booked online tickets to visit the RHS gardens nearby on Thursday, and will meet my mum there
DH is currently in the garden trying to pump up his inflatable kayak without it blowing new holes along the seams! He is armed with gorilla tape, and failingHopefully he will admit defeat and put it on the tip pile - but he won't be happy about it, so I must be sympathetic
For the time being, I am keeping out of the way!!
I think I will do some admin indoors while I'm here, and I may pop to the shop in a little while.
ill get my coat...
I probably won't share that with him, it is too soon in the mourning process (it is an ex-kayak)11 -
Morning all (just) and a somewhat belated welcome to Borscht [insert waving emoji]
GWS vibes continue for Natty's DH.
Congratulations to Skinty on amazing Flying
Commiserations to GI's OH re the ex-kayak
Ooops to the phone, Dizzy!
Glad to hear that the cat has settled well, Kaz.
I have had a mixed couple of days. Good because my sprained wrist is fully recovered. Bad because my shoulder hurts constantly. But that's increasing age for you.
DS1 came yesterday and cut back the hazel tree that had grown enormously in the 7 years since we moved here and was shading the corner of both our garden and the neighbour's. There is now a heap of branches on the ivy area behind our back fence: they can be left there to rot if nobody takes them. I was going to make some hanging planters for the shady north wall of the yard, but I hadn't reckoned on how heavy they would be - I don't think they would stay up for very long!
This afternoon we are off to visit DS2 and family for a couple of hours, bearing the obligatory coffee cake, Twinks, fruit loaf, garden plants, books, visors, etc. We need to be away from here at 12.45 so I'd better go and cook a fry-up for a quick lunch.
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xx10
