Good morning all,
Firstly Natty and Dave I am sending you lots of love and hugs, please update us when you can xx
Skinty - I love the idea of Omelette day, think I will pinch that one! Do you ever sleep my lovely?! X
Been awake for a while but allowing myself a leisurely start to the morning. DW has been unloaded, and I am back in bed with a cuppa. Already had to split up an argument between the children, only four more days until DS back to school...
Washing will have to go over the airer today. We are going to have fish and chips from the chippy for tea 😊 and I will have an hour with my book later. For now it's time to get up, shove some clothes on, have a wash and get moving. Take care all xx9 -
Round 1 completed + splashed bleach in loo, recycled empty bleach bottle, sorted washing in to loads and set first load swishing, and tore up and recycled a cardboard box.
Coffee now

Morning.....again.
A tiny bit of breakfast and whoosh I went out like a light. Now properly awake.......and time to continue with Omelette Day and carry on clearing up eggshells EVERYDAY until it's finished.
So I might have to leave listy til next week and just carry on off piste.
Natty &.Dave i hope that you are getting the support you need right now at this worrying time XXXRound you inspired me to do some research on bird calls. A woman put a post on rspb forum back in April describing the exact same thing. Some kind soul put up the bird call of a Lapwing and answered her query right off the bat.I couldn't believe it, literally it was exactly what I could here.
I might have to listen to a few more birdsongs and then see if I can work out what is hiding in my garden.
Time to check the weather forecast for the day, chug some more painkillers down and drag the "eggshells" out onto the patio and see what can be sorted. The cold never bothered me anyway8 -
Morning all.
Hope Dave and Natty are ok.
Much amusement with the bunnies this morning. The bits that blocked off access to the back and side of the shed have been repurposed on the veg patch, to keep the pigeons off the cabbages and my big white bunny, Miffy, discovered this. Cue small brown bunny tearing round the garden because he couldn't find his lady love!
Internet is way better
Today I must...
clean kitchen
clean bathroom
strip and remake beds
go to town
planning phone call with job share

Good morning!
I am up, dressed & breakfasted. I have done some admin - Friday money juggle, emails checked, and bank details changed on a payment system and my invoices to new business account. I have also put on the WM. DH is walking the dog.
We actually had rain last night!! I have walked down the garden, and the snails are having a party!I want to go to the allotment, but more rain is forecast and it is very windy.
Round 1
Put washing in TD (I don't want to ,but needs must)
Put on WM2
Load DW
Sort out jam jars
At least with the weather I should be able to sort some stuff indoors, and make some jam. I need to sort out the little shed (again!) to put the bikes away. Only mine is in there at the moment. I mentioned rain the other night and suggested bikes got put away. I then realised that 2 were in the SH, and now the 3rd has taken up residence in the DR!!!! I give in!!!
Round I love the idea of the Government changing the batteries in the birds every 100 years! Is it mad that my first thought is not 'well that's rubbish!', but 'how come if the Govt has batteries that last 100 years, we haven't all got them?'
Have a good day all!

I am here but shattered. We finally got a call at 10.00pm, they were very nice and thorough, then it was a plethora of phone calls after that. Can't fault them enough. Had to do an emergency dash to the hospital for meds etc. The Covid team also got in touch as DH wasn't well so he had to have a test. It was all quite scary but I'm glad I made the call now.
Hopefully this will be the turning point and DH can start recovering.Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Fingers crossed Natty that recovery gets underway quickly now without too much worry.
Forecast looks like rain until Monday. There looks like about a 2 hour break in the rain this afternoon, so it looks like I will either have to get on with this week's listy properly or find a way of getting it done where I can actually make serious progress rather than wasting energy playing Gibble Tetris under cover.
The sad fact is for all this hard work, I still have half a shipping container that I am paying for to go through with bits from 3 years ago..the stuff at the front is important and kind of sorted but the stuff at the back is an Omelette week at least, maybe more.....which is why with school run and stuff to do, even with it being 5 mins away the risk of having it still all strewn about when I should be at the school gates is a massive cause for procrastination and I have barely popped over since this started.
So I have had some me time instead to recover. I thought about cooking something tasty from scratch, and just checked my herbs and spices to see what I am running low on, ready for a trip out (on the basis people won't queue in the rain). Found I could decant part used herbs into duplicate jars which are also part used , then I will be ready to create some empties for homemade spice blends. (I've got one that I use for Chinese Salt and Pepper Chips, but the blend makes up enough for about 8 portions and I don't always fancy making it 2 days on the trot).
For some reason I have 5 jars of garlic salt and only 1 with a teaspoon of onion granules in ......my brain must keep remembering the onion granules incorrectly, but other than that my Pre Corona spice hoard is intact.
Time for a brew, then I must break the procrastination.
Happy flying ladies 😁The cold never bothered me anyway9 -
Well done for making the call, Natty. Definitely the right thing to do - hope you're both getting some rest today.
The R2D2 bird will be a Starling. They also sound like digital landline ring tones, moaning cats, make a fair attempt at a Blackbird's song and anything else they spend time around.
I've had the telephone physio consult. Somebody is going to phone back in a couple or few weeks. She did say she isn't used to having somebody saying 'well, there's definitely something going on with the right sacroiliac joint because...' and be able to talk about facet joints sticking, Pilates, Yoga and inflamed insertion points on tendons, along with when asked if I could do x whilst seated or standing 'yes, I'm standing with feet hip width apart and am engaging x muscles/pushing through the y/I think I could definitely do with some wobbleboard sessions'. I did think that the referral probably mentions that I'm the size of a house and very inactive, though, so it's possibly partly due to that creating one image in her mind.
No work has come through yet today, so just aimlessly pottering around. About to stick a washload on, though.
Himself will be back around 8pm tonight and he's actually got the weekend off. Probably means he'll be in bed for as long as possible tomorrow morning, so I might get some vacuuming done upstairs this afternoon and strip the bed once the first washload finishes.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll10 -
Washing pegged out - fingers firmly crossed x Blue skies at the moment.
Fingers also firmly crossed that Dave is now on the mend and you can relax and recover Natty xx
The pie dish that I ordered has arrived. Oh my. I just cannot visualise centimetres - I am a feet and inches person. Never mind, dish is just the right size for a crumble for one, and DS is talking about moving out to rent a house with GF as soon as he finds a job, so the dish could come in handy. Portion control and all that lol

Hello
DS's bed stripped, aired & remade. Mine stripped and airing because I hadn't ironed the sheets. Sheets ironed. Long phone discussion with jobsahre about moving on throught all this. Information sent to boss in timely manner.
Kitchen windowsill cleared, window cleaned. Plan on doing kitchen and bathroom today, as well as moving office as DD is coming home. Will claim Dominic Cummings defence if necessary; she's wfh in a houseshare with no social life and it's not doing her MH any good. Here there are furry things she loves and can fuss.
Plus I'm wfh too and I think she's quite fond of me.
