Hot here today and probably hotter tomorrow so all the washing has been done and dried outside although I might take the opportunity tomorrow to wash some throws, cushion covers etc that don't really need done but it'll freshen them up and they'll dry quickly.
Too hot to have a heavy meal so prawn salad for dinner.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Hot here too. And no water for most of the day! The boilermen came and therefore the water was switched off. Why is it that I needed the loo so much today, eh? In the end I went round next door and used theirs!Today I am grateful for the lovely efficient boilermen, for having the money to get the work done, for my morning workout, for a great session with y8, for online taekwondo, for dh cooking tea, for email.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

Have managed 20 nsd's so far this month. Only a tiny spend today - got next week's tv mag. Have been managing to find extra little things to do around the flat, somethings I have not done for a while.
Grateful for:
Managing to book an appointment with my hairdresser who comes to the flat for 2 weeks time.
Seeing a robin in the communal garden.
An online meditation through z00m led by someone who I volunteered with 8 years ago. Small group which was nice.

Apologies for yesterday
June Challenge Day 25
Exercise is essential
I'm not doing any 'exercise' atm. I'm doing a lot of work in the garden, quite a lot of heavy lifting, lots of walking (descended into trudging yesterday) and that's taking all my physical energy. Yesterday was very tough. I didn't want to go outside. I'm not even sure I should have been outside (heat, sun etc). The only thing that got me out there was that leaving it would have made things worse - I had to do something, anything to improve the situation. So I just did a little bit, then another little bit (I did stay in for 2 hours when the sun was at it's fiercest). Until I got to the 'hump' stage where things were starting to improve. I sat down frequently and used every technique I could think of for moving things -'walking' large pots, dragging things by their handles, edging them onto a sack or tarpaulin and pulling them along on that.
There are still things to do but I can see what I have done and the things I still have to move are lighter and the bits that are 'done' look good. So I'm developing an exercise mindset. Do it when I don't 'want' to. Any exercise is better than none. Just keep going. Just do what you can. If you can't run, walk. If you can't walk, crawl. I came in for a shower at a quarter to 5 pm and needed another at 9.30 pm. I hurt yesterday evening - lots of little twitches and cramps but I have slept well and can move this morning. I'm slowly taking back my body. Today will be a 'resting' day. I have things to do but will take my time and just do one little bit at a time
Exercise in the mornings before your body works out what you are doing
"You're still a rock star" I whisper to myself, as I take my multivitamin pill and get into bed at 9 pm
You don't get the bum you want by sitting on it
It's not swagger, I'm just sore

I definitely go with doing exercise in the morning before my brain can make excuses!

6 months til the C-word! 4 months til the clocks go back!! Enjoy this weather if you like such things - please slather yourself in sunblock and sit in the garden with a glass of something lovely if that is what floats your canoe. No lobster-people allowed.I have dropped another lb. Exercise starts after one more lb loss. Looking forward to it, but not so much in this weather!Ridiculously good mood for the last 24 hours, long may it continue. I think I may have just completely passed my ' F -it' level.Should get another P/A payout today for £6. I will put it aside for some lovely fox and badger mugs I spotted in a c/s this week. For some reason I seem to not have enough bowls anymore. I blame children in general, mine in particular. Of course nobody knows anything about it, so just another thing on the list of things to replace. Ho-hum, 'la vie, and all that.Do something today that makes you giggle, even if nobody else hears you.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Thankful for seeing nature on evening walks - tiny, tiny ducklings - a new brood of 11 with one being wholly yellow - so sweet, a slow worm on the path in front of us, a wren in the same patch two evenings in a row - for fans, for a trip to the forest (shady!) where there was plenty of space to socially distance from others, for Ds2 and ds3having fun in the cool stream there, for ice making and dispensing freezers!

Today I am grateful to have running water again (didn't have it 9-5.30 yesterday), for being able to have a quiet day, for a cold flannel on my neck as I type, for the plants still growing, for a breeze.

Today I am grateful for all the work I did yesterday, for showers, for books and book series, for eating out of the fridge and freezer. I should have had a delivery yesterday but when I went to check the order had not gone through so picked 5 new items to replace the 'unavailable' ones and re-did it for next Thursday. I deliberately didn't order a veg box because the SM delivery was coming. I have been trying to fish out things that have been in the freezer for a while so now that is what we will live on and I will get a grip on the fresh stuff too. Taken out sausage meat and found we had a small pack of frozen chicken (there were 2 lots of fresh on the delivery order) so have taken them out to defrost and will make chicken in black bean sauce (for mum) and tandoori lumps (to have with salad, on wraps or warm if the weather changes. Today has mainly been dips - ate my way through a whole pack of chantenay carrots for breakfast, used the cheese dip with grated cheese on wraps for lunch (+ a whole chopped up slightly wrinkly pepper) and half a pack of breaded mushrooms for tea with dip, celery, cucumber, red and yellow pepper sticks and a base of finely chopped cabbage and red onion from the fridge. Most of the rest of the cabbage and red onion chopped in a bag (there are 3 carrots somewhere - in a sack I think) rescued some spring onions and have more planned for tomorrow. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5
