Haven't posted for ages again but doing well with NSDs, now up to 17. Weight loss seems to have stalled - have lost 5 pounds total so far but no change for the last 2 weeks. Ah well hopefully weigh in next week will show a loss. Currently out for a walk as trying to hit 10k steps every day, have planned a socially distanced run with a friend tomorrow after work. Grateful for having enough savings to cover work needed on my car, a lovely walk with OH yesterday and not getting rained on today, feeling fit and healthy, planning a socially distanced girls night and having a lie in this morning. Hope everyone has a good TuesdayMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Really not feeling like it today (chest still pulling after any exertion - took one of the cleaner's 'toilet wipes' this morning, wiped all three handrails in the bathroom, the top of the 'new' chest of drawers and then wiped the bottom half of the toilet and the bit where it meets the floor and was totally wiped out. had lots of deliveries - pills arrived and no missing items, trolley has come (bought the hobby-craft one for £28 as the roskag was £66). That's on the bed with me so I can put it together if I feel up to it. I have mostly emptied the polytunnel - 23 plants in large planters and about 7 trays of seedlings or planted on into small pots (8-9 on a tray).
I started at about 11am and have just finished and had a shower. I have also brought all the food and cleaning items piled on the trolley into my room. All bit by bit and giving myself permission to quit at any time.
Have just started watching the sinner S1 E1 and have been watching in between moving stuff - only just started the second episode. Food is being decided on the basis of what needs using up/ what will make most space in the fridge or freezer.
Today I am grateful for getting things done, for being able to easily water and take off unwanted shoots from my tomatoes and peppers once I got them on top of the bins, for it not being too hot and sunny but just right for working, for posh ice cream (it was either that or steal some of mum's chocolate), for hot showers and a supportive bed.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -

Gas man arrived nice and early and everything was back in place by 10.00 am. Well, that's another two cupboards tidied.
Looks like our holiday in October is on now. Fingers crossed. I'm so looking forward to a change of scene and some fresh air and walks after all this time inside. Hair salons here not opening yet but hopefully soon. The state of my hair doesn't bear thinking about. I just hope my little salon will be able to keep on going. It's small and run by just two lovely girls so safety measures could be difficult for them.
I think someone in the flat upstairs was laying a kitchen floor today. Lots of hammering and noise. It's been unoccupied for ages so don't know if the owners are tarting it up prior to selling or if they are thinking of renting again. Glad the noise has stopped though.
Remainder of the kung po chicken for dinner tonight. I have to say that was a revelation. Very tasty.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Day 2 of The School Run. DS1 was ready on time, and came out on time, I went to see a community project in the middle of driving him about the place, and visited Herr Lidli and Herr Alidi and Herr Ron
.
I now have 9 different types of breakfast cereal (if they cannot find one they like, I no longer flippin' care) thanks to the lovely supermarkets finally getting onboard with labeling their own brand products with a big old Vegan V sign. My life just got easier.I picked up 2 London Underground mugs in a charity shop for me, and a T Shirt for DH in a new size I have never bought for him before, called med-ium. Not quite sure how to pronounce it yet, but DH is a happy old sausage and is wearing a pair of shorts he has never been able to wedge himself into before. I bought them for him last year, they suit him. They were also a c/s find. I am slowly getting him to accept things that are not from the Maxx of TK. Not many of the smaller shops or c/s were open at all.Got y/s raspberries (20p!) and mangoes (10p), so we are having a raspberry, mango and pineapple Stratification pudding.DH is in the kitchen dancing and making wontons for tea. I do love that man.The fridge is rammed with lovely healthy veg, the fruit bowl is utterly decadent, and there is no school on Wednesdays!!I am still within the confines of my budget. It is so much more civilized in the supermarket at 7pm ys time with social distancing!! Half the time it is totally empty. At least you will be able to go off on your travels again soon (if you still want to) @Toni'sfriend . I would not make the trip out if I was not passing the supermarket anyway, or if I was not killing 15 minutes waiting on one of my kids to come out of college. It was nice to have a wander around again, but 3/4 of the shops are still closed, and only 2 of my 11 c/s's on my 'charity crawl route' were open either. We will see!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for a relaxed day, for the vegetation just doing its thing and growing, for dd just getting on with school work, for getting a place on an exam board webinar (though they could tell us nowt of any import as oofquall finished their data-collecting on june 8th but are keeping the results a secret for now), for fresh strawbs, for peace and quiet outside, for the impetus of tomorrow's boilermen resulting in lots of lovely cleared space, for mum's care home starting to open up (you have to book a time, meet out in their garden, but still need to keep 2m apart - wouldn't work for mum, so still can't go. But things are changing...).

F0xh0les - The holiday is a months self catering in a small village in Northumberland. We go twice a year always using the same accommodation. The Boy says he will drive us there and come and collect us when we need to come home so no public transport. We always get a grocery delivery as there are only a couple of shops. To be honest I wouldn't even contemplate going anywhere else at the moment. Having said that, it is still not certain if there is a second wave of infections. Also Scottish government is still advising against trips to other parts of the UK but I think that will change shortly. I don't think we'll be doing any train wanderings around Europe next year either. The year after, MAYBE.
I'm with you, though, I haven't been out and don't intend to go anywhere near a supermarket (or any other shop for that matter) for quite some time, Apart for looking for YS food bargains I don't like shopping. Hoping to start a bit of walking soon. So far, the weather has either been too hot or too wet.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6
