Just had a lovely surprise, the doorbell rang with a Christmas package from someone - never expected it at all and it brought a tear to my eye! Isn't it lovely to have gone back to basics, with little or no expectation - makes the little surprise extras mean so so much more than they ever did before.

aww thats lovely hypno! Know exactly what you mean! My neighbor who lives on bens came over yesterday with a lovely bunch of lillies with agold twig in - beautiful, expensive & made my day as I know it will have meant sacrifice for them plus as he said he said in a very embarrased but meaning it way "you know we love you dont you!" Isnt that lovely! Made me really chuffed that I went the extra mile with Christmas day meal I'll be cooking....beer for him, sparklers for all of us, cava and yummy lemon roulade for pud! Delicious!
Great that you managed to get the kids something and I wasnt saying that you shouldnt as totally understand wanting them to have something to pen - was just saying that you shouldnt feel mean that its a token jesture!! Am sue they'll love it & great news re the meal - just enjoy! We all need a treat and respite from the madness of all the preparations so just enjoy and relax! Have a great day!

Ok, done the karate party and the kids are suitably hyped up! Just popped back home for them to get changed and have a quick lunch. Decided not to go anywhere near a supermarket, so no selection boxes. Am I bovvered? Nah!

Off to see Nana - haven't told her we are coming, so hope she is in, otherwise it will be a quick turnaround!
