Just had to chuckle when the woman on there mentioned her huge phone bill she has been hiding for months! Perhaps she is going to have her LBM, and Martin :money: will get a starring role as the Doctor's new assistant

Happy boxing day all. Slept like a log, and woke up at about 8.30 - amazing!

Off to sil's this afternoon for tea, but need to go to argos on the way to pick up a present i have reserved for my nephews that we managed to get in the half price sale :T Before that though, a lazy morning I think. Coffee and bacon butties........bring it on!

Oooh IA is at 10000 posts :j

I am trying to be a good DFW and sort out phone/broadband/tv and make sure we are with the cheapest. Almost signed up to sky though quidco saving me a couple of £ each month and getting £125 cashback, but apparently we are not in their broadband area so it will cost us £4 more a month than we are currently paying instead of saving us £8 a month

So, the thing is, do we sign up, and offset the extra monthly cost against the quidco cashback which will basically give us free sky for a couple of years, as long as the cashback pays out, or do we stick with what we have?

Also, we were sky customers until 3 years ago, do you reckon we will count as new customers for the purposes of quidco?

Why is everything so bloomin' complicated

We were sky customers 2 years ago and we're still not classed as being new customers..
Free sky for a year is appealing though... then again.. you get the same amount of crap on freeview for free.... Just be careful in case you don't get the cashback because you've previously been a customer.

Was the Sky in your name or hubby's before? Would it work if you put it in the other person's name? Or is it because there has been Sky at that address before? Oh no, that can't be it, because what if you move house? Hmmmm, maybe you could ring them and ask?

Sorry, that is a completely unhelpful post!

Congrats on the 10,000 posts IA!

Yes, I am trying to weigh up the risk - £30 installation fee (which I expect I will have to pay if I am trying to be a new customer, even though we have a dish and box here still) and £4 a month for a year extra to what we are already paying, means a risk of £78 over the year, to get £125 cashback, making a possible profit of just under £50.

    It's hard being a DFW isn't it!!!
