  • Hi Hypno! Merry Christmas, glad you had a lovely day. Re. phone and BB, have you looked at Virgin Media? We pay £30 for TV, BB and phone (free weekend calls) and no line rental payable to BT. We have had good service from them (touch wood), and the extra TV channels are great. all in all, a great package, and I believe they are on Quidco too x

Snaggles, a loft conversion! Wow! That will give you some extra space. Presumably when you go back to work you can hammer that debt down good and proper.
We only have two bedrooms at the moment, and Ryan has agreed to sharing with Natasha, but that is only a temporary solution. So we are thinking that once the weather is better, we will move into the camper for a few weeks :) and make a 3rd bedroom in the loft. It will only be small, and will take a big chunk off the main bedroom, but I think it's the only solution we can afford. :o

I'm only going back part-time (16 hours per week), because I don't really like it, but I'm also going to start looking for work I DO like, and if money gets really tight, work will let me increase my hours (it's easier to get them to agree an increase than a decrease). But hopefully I will be able to start tackling the debt then.

I have opened a 'matched betting' account, and my new years resolution is to start using it, to bring some extra money in!

Hi ATB, we did look at virgin media but they are only offering 2mb speed for that price, and we currently have 8mb. Because of our student being here, we often have times when there are 3 or 4 of us online at one time, and the extra speed becomes a necessity then otherwise we grind to a halt!

We will get something sorted - I am determined to cut back somehow!

i have virgin as well were £56 a month for 20mb down load free phone calls (up to an hour ) to landlines (no 0845 numbers though) and the high t.v package to be honest i only took it as it was £4 a month cheaper than we were paying and we had no t.v service the 20mb down load is rarely 20mb to be honest though and if i could change i think i would problem is who to go to virgin are a joke i liked telewest but dont like virgin but as were very heavy internet users we need the high speed

hi Hypno, Seawxyn and all the other well wishers. We had a reasonably quiet Christmas, babies and mums all behaved quite well. Mind you last night I had to help out for a few hours with Joel, he went blue and scared his mum. I was up till after 2am! Knackered today. Have hardly moved off of the sofa today. Except to walk the dog and have a bath. I had avisit from the boyfriend. Looks like we are having another go at our relationship. :T So he had Christmas lunch with us. Managed to persuade Joels dad's family that they had to have Daniel for the day as I couldnt fit him in here, so I had a day off from him.:j Although they brought him back to here today, and the Grandad came in. I was not thrilled becuase I didnt know they were coming, and I am not enamoured of any of them. I think they have a cheek turning up unannounced and expecting me to let them in. I will have to have words with the social services about what I have to put up with.

Now I am off to make fattening Chips to have with the cold gammon. Perhaps with a bit of healthy living baked beans!!
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Hi guys, back from sil - she has three boys who are boisterous to say the least, so it is nice to be back home and in relative peace and quiet! They also have a wii, which ours obviously don't and so there was much noise over that, where we just wanted to curl up!

Anyway, I want to watch "ballet shoes" on telly this evening - I remember reading the book as a child so I hope the film lives up to that memory!

Moneywise, I have spent £14.99 on a present for my nephews in the argos sale, but otherwise nothing spent, thankfully. Hoping for a real NSD tomorrow.

Hope you have all had a good day, and have a relaxing evening x
