Oh I do the clients as well!! That's what mornings are for!! Thing is that the bar is reliable, clients aren't! Also, I quite like the social aspect of the bar so worth it for that alone!

    Morning Hypno and all...
Accounts...don't envy you that job!!!...glad you've heard from the kids and that they are fine and also DD what a star doing all her work!!!....my DFD is about the same time as yours as all my loans finish in 2011...and then it will be just mortgage debt but if I get that mortgage this week I should be well into clearing it by then as I've put it on 10 years and can overpay as much as I want...
I agree with you about the bar job as that money goes a long way to helping you clear it and you've done great still bringing the total down this month especially when you haven't had any wages.....well done xxx

Thanks taxi! I am very sure you will have your debt gone long before your "expected" DFDs! You are a star!

I have been glued to the sofa all morning - ventured away only to get showered, dressed and to make coffee! Really must think about having some lunch then going to work...........in a bit!! I have, in my defence, been updating totals, checking spreadsheets, and doing piggy clicks while I have been here, so not entirely wasteful of my time.......:D

Hey Hypno, just noticed you're over the £2000 mark. Huge well done from me. I hope you do manage to think of ways to bring debt-free-apart-from-mortgage date forward to 2010 (that sounds so close).

Owww my feet hurt!!! 9 and a half hours of the busiest time ever in the bar - it has been MANIC!! Still, the time went quickly because I was so busy and we had a laugh or two along the way. We closed up half an hour early though - had had enough!! So, just got home, taken my boots off and my feet are throbbing somewhat!!

On the plus side, it will be more money towards the debt come the end of the month, I got a free dinner of curry, yummy yummy, and had a NSD!

    can't complain!!

Miss Bez - I am 40 at the end of 2010, so really want to have the debt gone by then! Then, as they say, life begins!!

  • Free dinner!! Thats my favourite word in the world 'FREE' second favourite is 'SALE' and lastly is 'paid survey' hehe . Just been having a wee catch up here. I have got quite a few folks in my work that read this. They know I post and no doubt if they read my diary they would suss it was me but hey ho. I wouldn't be happy but the way I see it is they wouldn't be on DFW threads if they didnt need it too. Have a nice rest tomorrow. If you are at a loose end and bored let me know and you can come up here and help me paper my kitchen. Only a few hundred miles away lol

MiT, if I come over and paper your kitchen, that means I don't have to do my accounts. I'm on my way :rotfl:

I am going to veg for a while before I venture out into the land of piles of paper, receipts, and plastic files though........I am tired and besides, skiing is on the telly.......what more can I say!

I am just about to pay an extra £10 off the egg card....I have decided that for every day I do not buy lunch at work, I will pay £1.50 (the cost of a jacket spud etc) off the egg card as an incentive to take a packed lunch instead. So, £10 to go as a start, as this is probably what I have saved in the last few days.

I hope everyone has a good day!

  • Morning Hypno,

I can't say that I blame you for vegging out for a little while, it is Sunday after all.

Good idea re the extra payment on the Egg card, I did something similar this month, DH sold his ancient laptop for £100 and that went off the balance, so all good that way.

Hope you have a lovely day.

Morning Hypno! Nice idea about the lunch incentive. Good luck with your receipts and admin. I so need to do that too. Horrible pile of accounts paperwork next to my desk is collapsing and getting muddled up with other stuff.

I'm settling down to a morning's work - feeling rather desperate as I have to write an article on the relative merits of print and online publishing and I know nothing about it and have failed to interview any publishers. Anyone here who can help me out??? I even dreamed I was writing it and woke up really relieved thinking it was finished but alas... the ideas I had in my dream turned out to be rubbish in the cold light of day.

Oh well.... no doubt see you around on here today! Have a good day.

Morning Tea, I have now paid the extra tenner off, and will continue to do a small payment each time I avoid the Mess at work.

Seaxwyn, I hope you manage to get a good piece of work done - I have the same problem when I leave things to the last minute (that'll be most of the time then!) that it invades my sleep big time. It is one of the main reasons that I need to get organised because the lack of sleep has become a problem for me. I don't personally know any publishers, but there is bound to be someone on MSE - just a case of finding them!

I am watching skiing on the telly at the mo, and it is from the resort where I did my first two ski trips as a teenager........no, I don't want to be back there......really, I am happy here.......no desire to be in the fabby Austrian tyrol at all.......no even a tiny little bit......if I keep lying to myself do you think it will have the required effect :o:confused:

2nd best then is to go and put the kettle on.......
