I'm settling down to a morning's work - feeling rather desperate as I have to write an article on the relative merits of print and online publishing and I know nothing about it and have failed to interview any publishers. Anyone here who can help me out??? I even dreamed I was writing it and woke up really relieved thinking it was finished but alas... the ideas I had in my dream turned out to be rubbish in the cold light of day.
See, that's what happens when you leave your *researching* to the last minute never mind the writing...

I did shift myself, and I have done some work on the accounts -still a way to go, but I am having a coffee, then need to pop to boots and to a friend's house, but will carry on with the accounts when I get back. Everything is in the right "plastic files" so it is just a case of putting it all down on something resembling a document!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Yay, well done you. Seaxwyn, ZTD has reminded me about your situation - there's a lot of guff on the internet about how easy it is to write e-books, and make mint if you write about something that isn't easily accessible otherwise (new diabetes treatments was one I've heard). And self publishing via a website, rather than a book, has never been easier, I suppose. Its hours since you first posted - how are you doing?2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi folks and thanks for your concern - and thank to Ali07 who sent me a PM. I'm ashamed now of cluttering up Hypno's thread with my own worries. I'm rethinking the article and realised I will have to leave it to finish up tomorrow morning when I hope I can get some quotes from the publishers concerned (it's about two particular publishers).

Seaxwyn, never ever worry about clogging up my thread! Please!
I have been to boots and spent my latest piggy voucher on presents for next Christmas from the 75% off sale :j Also topped up the children's phones there - you get boots points on the phone top up too, bargain! Plus I bought some hair colour - will try and do that this afternoon - I have not coloured my hair for years and years but fancy a change, so will perhaps be brave this afternoon! If you see me wearing a hat in the next few days you will know why!!
Then went to a friend's for coffee - she is trying to do the ski race thing on the cheap too, so sat looking for bargain apartments on the net for race week. Quite a good way to spend an hour, armed with a coffee and the laptop!
back home now and need to do some more of the paperwork but don't know whether to do the hair colour experiment first......decisions, decisions!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. hi doodledo - there were not too many things left today at boots, but I still managed to get some things I can usefully put in the present cupboard. I have also got £14.50 worth of boots points on my card as well, so that is more money I can spend on "free" presents in due course :T I am quite looking forward to next Christmas :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
