Afternoon Hypno...I'm back at last...
Just had to read your diary from page 26 and it's took me hours...and what a read ...glad your DH eventually found his passport and that the kiddies are doing well with their skiing....
Well done on starting the job at long last and getting a wage every week should help greatly....you are doing fantastically as usual...I'm so pleased for you!!...scary stuff that the person at work reads MSE but at the end of the day you are an inspiration and I can't wait to see that episode.
The food issue I totally agree with you on.We have now gone totally organic the meat is quite a bit dearer so we have a little less..so must be better for the waistline..the fruit and veg isn't that much dearer and it all tastes better...
Hope you've had a good day and have a good weekend...xxx0 -
Hi all, especially taxi - so good to have you back!!
Gemmzie, I have paid off another £50 but have slowed up the payments until I have been paid at the end of the month - just in case the cheque comes through late!! Hopefully February will see the figure move quite a bit.
Have just spoken to DD - she is having a fab time. She sounds so grown up!! DS hasn't even texted me - obviously far too busy.....or in far too much trouble!!
Tomorrow I am doing 10 hours in the bar - afternoon and evening. Think of the money, hypno, think of the money! Sunday I will be crashed on the sofa, armed with the laptop and plenty of coffee!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Finally heard from DS last night - he is having a fab time - they move over to Switzerland on Monday I think, for a few days, for a series of races, so they are looking forward to that. I really am glad we decided to do this for them this year - they are obviously getting a lot out of it. DD has finished the science work that the school have sent her, but the science teacher has been giving her extension work, way beyond her level, which she has been completing too - fab news!
Today I am working all afternoon and evening, so will slob out on the sofa until as late as possible, armed with coffee and mse!! I will have a quick whizz round the house - put the dishwasher and a load of washing on type thing, and then that will be me done for the day!

Glad the kids are having such a great time - it was obviously well worth the struggle.
Enjoy your shift today! I should have been at work half an hour ago. But I'm still sitting here, as I'm determined to get my totals updated before I lose track completely! It's only DH waiting for me to arrive so he can go on a break anyway, so I'll get around to going in eventually! That's what weekends are for, right?!0 -
That's right, Panda, spreadsheets are there to be updated, otherwise what is the point of having them - and if you are watching totals come down, well that is even more important than relieving someone for a break!!
As posted on your thread, I need to do my accounts/tax return fairly soon.
As tomorrow I have no work on, I hereby, do solemnly declare, that I will spend tomorrow shut away doing my accounts/tax return so that I can get up to date.
There, committed now :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi hypno!
I'll pass along the favour El gave me on my thread - get going on the accounts, missus!!! :rotfl:
Thats a *loooong* day you've got set up for yourself - glad to hear you're *physically* slobbing tomorrow, tho fiddling about with accounts and mse, thats my plan too - today I need to set up a m.b., get a bath, zoom up to use a freebie ticket at The France Show, then off to Docklands to see a friend - drinks and canapes, if you please, how posh am I then?
See you tomorrow - put your feet up when you can!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

That's not the same thing as fiddling the accounts, is it?!
Right, I'm off. See y'all later! (i.e. in about an hour when I get to work!)0 -
Hi KC! That sounds like a fab day - enjoy!
I have just done my debt totals etc, and even with all the expenses (some of which have gone on the credit cards, sadly) and with the payment holidays for the loans which are therefore not reducing, I have still, just about, managed to reduce the amount of money we owe this month - not by much, but at least it is moving overall in the right direction, so I am very pleased about that.
That makes me debt free apart from the mortgage in Sept 2011. I really want to bring things forward to 2010, so once the salary kicks in, I will be stepping things up a gear. I did think about quitting the bar job, but it brings in an extra £100 a month, which is a very useful extra payment on the debt, so I will keep that going for as long as I possibly can.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi Hypno and all
Hypno re the bar job, is not a possibility to do some of the clients on a Saturday (instead of during the week) that you used to do before your new job? Surely that way you would earn alot more than what you do for the bar job?
I'm sure you have thought of this and I am stating the obvious but just a thought0
