  • Morning Hypno and any other early-birds already up and about.

    Glad college went well.

Hope you enjoy the Human League tonight. it's lovely to have a blast from the past like that and relive your youth isn't it? My SIL dragged me along a few years ago to see Gary Glitter. This was long before any hint of his sickening criminal activities:eek: . But despite my unwillingness to go I had a cracking night. The sight of all those (young) middle-aged women in retro gear singing and dancing along was an eye-opener:rotfl:

Now, must check if Chas and Dave are touring again:o

Hi Seaxwyn, yes, two full weeks  . Loads of time :rotfl:

I have to sort out all the presents that I have already bought, and see what I still have to buy. I really hope it is not very much at all, otherwise we are stuffed. Actually, I think it will just have to be "make do" with what we have got. I will put it on my list of things to do today - I have adopted a "head in the sand" attitude about christmas this year, which is not good, because I don't have the cash/credit card to do any last minute panic buying!

I'm feeling relaxed about Christmas as I've decided to let OH take the shopping strain this year! I've also been DFW/creative about the few presents I do need to get. If you want any ideas why not post a list of recipients and I'm sure us DFWs can help out.

I'm more worried about the work. I promised to do eight more days work for one client and the contract ends this month so if I don't get them done I lose that money - doh! That's between 2 days a week for the other lot and various bits for other clients and inconvenient things like funerals and nativity plays. Where has the time gone indeed

Hope you enjoy the Human League? Is it the same line-up and if so have they aged well? I never liked them the first time round, my little sis was a big fan. We had competitive music tastes in those days and none of us could like what the others did. But this year, I am giving my bro CDs copied from my OH's collection and I know they'll go down fine.

Yes, the Human League is still the same line up. Phil Oakey looks older, but the two girls look exactly the same as they did back in 1982!! I am sure they have lots of makeup on to cover the wrinkles, but they haven't put on weight over the years and have fab figures! The girls still can't sing, but as far as the blokes in the audience are concerned that doesn't really matter!!

Seax, sit down this morning and make yourself a "must stick to it" plan for the days between now and the end of the month - you don't want to lose 8 days money. I know that "to do" lists and "timetables" can go right out of the window after about 5 mins, but perhaps you need to focus your mind and see where you have got to be and when, and then put in the specific times in which you will work? I hope you manage to fit everything in.

I will do the Christmas present audit, then post back on here who I am missing presents for......all ideas will be very welcome!

Morning P, yes it is at the UEA. I am quite looking forward to it, shame it is midweek though!

I have just posted todays housework challenges/tasks on flylady.........I am getting there slowly. I hope other housework CHAOS challengers are doing nicely too - we didn't allocate a room for this week, so I would be interested to know what people are doing, if anything! I am using this week to try and catch up with the rooms I should already be in control of :o

  • Hey there Hypno,

I am one of those mostly lurkers who posts occasionally (due to being inherently shy). I hope you don't mind me posting on your new diary to say a couple of things:

Firstly - to say Hi :hello:

Also to let you know that you've inspired me from the start of my DFW journey and I'd like to thank you for that. You are doing just great (you're just like Superwoman - it's amazing!) and inspiring many others to do the same. You seem like such a great mum to your kids and I'm sure that they will grow up into well-balanced adults as a result of the way you have raised them.

Keep it up - you can do it and you have the support of everyone on here too.

Let us know if you need inspiration for inexpensive Christmas pressies - I'm full of ideas I am :D

Have a good day - in fact - hope it's a great one!

Head over to OS and take today's tasks of post 1 of the weekly flylady thread - all the bedroom tasks are in there, then you can take great satisfaction in crossing them off your list!
