I gave up posting last night - the site was so slow that I couldn't move between pages and each time I tried to post it died!

It is not much better this morning but hopefully it will improve.

I slept like a log thanks to the sleeping pills but have that heavy "drugged" head on me this morning. Oh well, can't have everything.

Am at the dentist at 10 to have a last filling done. Lovely :o

Other than that, I think I will veg today! hope every one has a good day xx

Thanks GTD, hope you have a good one too!

Played Deal or no Deal yesterday, prompted by Pania. It was a bit tedious but I came out with a profit of £17.50, so very happy with that!

Thanks El, I have college this evening but hopefully will be awake before then!! I need to head over to flylady to see what today's tasks are, and will do SOMETHING housework/admin wise today - just so I can justify the rest of the time sat on the couch!

Hello! made some progress flylady wise, but the problem is it said to clean around the light switches, which I did, and got rid of the mucky marks, but when getting rid of the grubby marks on the paintwork, I suddenly became very aware of how badly the room needs painting - a wipe with "flash" and water is not good enough.

So, sometime next year I will save up for the paint etc to decorate the lounge.....I will fit it into my ample spare time

apart from that, my day is ok, just printing out some bits and pieces of admin which need doing, and then I might pop out for a bit, just to get out.

Hope everyone else is doing ok! Debt wise I have paid my beginning of the month payments, so able to amend my signature - the £20k challenge has started nicely, long may it continue!!

Hope you are all having a good day, and not too frustrated that the site is slow today

There's a web-site that trades-people (is that correct nowadays? seems odd) use to dispose of excess stuff rather than bunging it in a skip. It works like Freecycle, except they can charge for stuff as well as give it away. We decorated the Sea Cadets unit with donated paint...... (we did not use the pink though :o )
And supply is spasmodic at best......

Thank you! Have had a look but nothing going at the mo. I will keep an eye on it and let you know!

I can decorate on a budget, would prob cost me about £50-60 but the problem is firstly the time, secondly, I am in danger of wanting more than the paint and polyfilla........new curtain poles......new fire surround......with a new fire to go in it.....new windows (they are desperately needed, seems silly to not do them at the same time as painting :o ).......new cushions.....and the list goes on.

If I can be strong enough to do the decorating with the minumum, it might get done in the short(ish) term. If not.......it will have to wait just a little bit longer!

Wow another one who has a few days away from the computer and returns to find a brand new diary full of posts already! Well done for 'owning up' to the full amount of your debt and we all know that you do so brilliantly when setting targets and achieving them. That family loan for the ski trip sounds fantastic too.

I'm ill at the moment have the usual cold, cough etc but with asthma added in it's not great - had yesterday off work and it's the first time in my working life I've phoned in sick without having to worry about doing so as with my current job I get sick pay something I didn't get whilst temping which is a big perk. Feeling a bit better today and came in and good job I did as I'm the only one in this afternoon with illness/days off and meetings don't know how long I'll stay and I'm just pottering on the internet mainly and answering phone calls so it's not too bad (although I sound dreadful down the phone a colleague kindly said when putting a call through!)

Anyway your post about making sure you don't get behind with surveys etc struck a chord with me - I've been so bad at that recently and am so annoyed I won't meet my £1000 for Olympic Challenge this time. I also started entering competitions in January as a way of getting things to sell/give as presents but that didnt last long so I need to get back on track with everything like this in the new year. Something to do over the holidays I think when I need a break from all our visitors!

Hope you're having a restful day and that college goes well tonight - better carry on and see what else has been going on on here whilst I've been busy!
