yeah and i have found such a difference with cleaning cupboards etc ...you know i actually cleaned out my towel cupboard the other week the last time i did that was when i moved in nearly 7 years ago and the bathroom cupboard well i have all the half empty jars etc put into a box and told all house occupants that before any new products get used the old ones have to be finished (hope they listen) i have decided to look through all my clothes and chuck out anything that makes me feel less than sexy doesnt matter if it fits me or not i have to feel sexy and good in them(this should help with the weight etc)..and the garden is starting to come together will get wall done with the car money then there wont be anything left to stop me (except money ofcourse but i will get there with that one) so as you can see changes are underway the future's so bright i gotta wear shades

    here is my housekeeping breakdown.

    Rent 67.57
    rates 19.00
    water 8.25
    gas 7.00
    electric 4.50
    food 90.00
that may be more now though as they keep putting the heating up and we are using more water. I added that all up and appart from food divided it by three of us, divided food by four as son eats lots.
so that worked out at £58.93 each. no insurance costs, tv license or tv or broadband included.
I believe the money they will get is 18.10 child benifit. £59.12 income support and arround £45.78 tax credits possibly more. it would still leave them with 63.00 a week each. my 63.00 will be for all the other things mentioned and car costs? am i being fair?
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

I think you are being very fair Mooloo. You are leaving them with a good amount of money in their pockets and they are paying a fair contribution towards their housekeeping.

Make sure you check on other benefits as well though, and remember to factor in the extra costs as the babies move onto solids, or need more expensive nappies etc as they get older. Just because you set the weekly amount at £60 doesn't mean you have to keep it at £60 when the cost of living increases,

    Good for you El.

I've just lost 3 stone, but unfortunately the budget doesnt allow for lots of new clothes at the moment. My work trousers have all had to be taken in at the waist, and I look a bit like a little girl wearing her dad's trousers, but never mind :p

At least I now have the luxury of being able to buy clothes at Tesco, so as soon as the budget eases, I'll be there ;)

I've heard Primark are very good. I dont think we have one locally, I think the nearest one is a few miles away.
