Hi Cheery! OH said all the right things to me yesterday, so I calmed a bit. But have since heard that the landlord wants to come HERE to chat on Friday morning! Argh cue me spending the rest of the week cleaning the house!!!! I don’t think I could cope with moving again and the upheaval. Where we live is perfect and a bit cheaper than other places. So We haven’t looked at many other places to be honest.

Picked my beautiful children up this morning. I’ve missed them so much. I didn’t realise how unhappy it made me being away from them. We made cakes this morning, really easy yoghurt muffins, they took about 5 minutes. We then had to go to work for 5 hours, which was a bit rubbish but the children had their iPads for the first time in ages. We got a lot done. Working at 10am tomorrow then we'll need to go back to work for a few hours. Then home and board games I think. Still need to do our Easter egg hunt at some point.

Dinner is in the oven and will be ready in half an hour. I’m so hungry!

Need to sort shopping collection for tomorrow.

Spent all day at work, had to take the children but was nice as I still got to see them and got lots of hugs. We watched a film and chatted this evening. Both have a cold, poor Roo’s face is all swollen his glands are so big.

Did no exercise again but did get a lot of work done. Eaten crap again. Although dinner was nice and healthy. Oven curry and rice and broccoli. But huge amounts.

Got the shopping picked up which is nice to have stuff in the fridge again.

got a super early start in the morning at 0600, but then I get to spend all morning with the children.

not much else to report. Very tired and still a bit out of sorts. Have so much to do next week with the business opening. Have no idea how I’m going to survive. As it’s going to be the same for at least 4 weeks. Knackered doesn’t even cover it!
  • @missymoo81 good luck with the landlord meeting today, keeping fingers crossed for you  :)

So sorry not to have been in touch for such a long time!

Sooo update wise, we spoke to the landlord who said we could buy the house we rent…. which is great news but of course its not as simple as that!!!

Nothing is going to plan, we wanted to have it all sorted by the stamp duty holiday end at the end of June. But it doesn’t seem like it will happen.

My accounts are with my accountant and i need her to put them through before I can do anything! I may have to chase her up tomorrow, and OH’s books need to be done! She said she could do all of this sharpish when i spoke to her 2 weeks ago, but I was unable to do anything for around 10 days due to business reopening, so i think she’s now super busy!!!!!!!!! Until she’s done that we can’t get a mortgage!! I’m also panicking slightly for 2 reasons. Since we agreed a price with landlord an estate agent has told him he has a buyer waiting who will pay £15k more. he said he won’t take it but if this takes an age, who knows!!! Also I tried to get a mortgage in principal with barclays and they didn’t say yes!!! Just that they needed more info! So despite me going through all the calculators online, I’m now worried we won’t be able to get one!!!!!!

Another galling thing is that i was expecting to pay around £1000 for solicitors…. they’re £1500 and stamp duty is going to be £4000!!!!!

So the next two weeks are going to be very telling!

It’s been a very stressful couple of weeks as it is with the business reopening. I’m very grateful we still have a business to reopen but gosh its been hard work. We’re massively down on numbers, with people continuing to cancel. We had to let a member of staff go, so between me and OH, we’re working 6 days out of 7 and sometimes back to back shifts. Ex has been away indefinitely so also had the children, who have been very trying lately. I have May’s birthday next month too and have no idea how I’m going to afford it!!!

To add to this stress, OH had another eye Op yesterday to rectify the one before. So we’re jut back and he’s sleeping upstairs. It all went well and hopefully this is the last one!

And breathe…… good things…. its been really sunny which has really helped my well being, I’ve managed to train a little the last two weeks and spend some lovely time with the children. I’ve also spent a lot of time helping people at work, which is always nice.

So my task right now is to figure out how much we  need to live on with a mortgage etc and whether I need to take on more clients or cut costs etc. This is really hard for me as I’ve always had the house deposit to fall back on. But once we’ve (hopefully) bought the house I’ll have absolutely nothing to fall back on. OH will obviously pay his half and help but neither of us earn over and above what we need. So I have my pencil in one hand and my cup of tea in another and I’ll let you know how I get on!!!.

OK so have spoken to the accountant, and she says I'm on her list!!!! Argh! Nothing I can do! Just sit and wait and hope the landlord doesn't get itchy feet!

With regards to my SOA above, I can afford to live as long as I continue to have my PT's. And anything over £100 from my other business, can go into savings, mortgage payments or on courses for OH. He will also be putting all of his extra money into the same pot.

Had a bit of a strange day today. OH has been on a course, So after two hours of work this morning, I did a workout then came home! I've had time to strip the bed and do 3 loads of washing. Hopefully it has all dried. My hayfever is horrendous today! it just appeared on the way home?!

I've been really bad with the food shopping and everything has crept up especially because I've been trying to eat more protein. I've been buying brands when I don't need to. And we're eating hardly any fruit and veg, which is awful!!!! So I've been watching eat well for less, and have got some amazing ideas. I'm going to try again at lessening our meat intake, as this has gone right up!

Going to bulk things out with veg but also use much less meat, and maybe just cook a lot of chicken breasts for OH and then freeze them.

Will write a list of meal ideas.

    Morning!

Have done a PT and a workout. Have put the children’s sheets in to wash. I have about 7 loads of clean washing to sort!

so need to have unloaded the dishwasher, hung up the washing, tidied up and swept the floor before the school run. I need to take Roo to the walk in centre about his foot again ‘sigh’.

Have just had brunch and I’m sat watching eat well for less again with a cuppa. Still trying to sort food and meal plan. Desperately need to go shopping, but want to buy the right thing!

Great news about the house, fingers crossed it all goes ok.  Have you thought about speaking to a broker?  They might be able to advise of one that will likely accept you if you have no luck with Barclays.
