  • You ate doing fantastic! A well deserved bar of chocolate.
Hope your OH check up goes okay. Does he have enough vision to help you out at home at all while you're busy with work? Could he cook something simple (frozen pizza and oven chips to save a takeaway type meals)? Put washing in if you've already separated it into loads? It sounds like its a lot on you at the moment and just something little would take a tiny bit of pressure off.

You might have already said but could you get the grant thing for self employed?
I'm still willing you to put in that child maintenance claim, if he's not redundant yet he has no reason not to provide for his children.

Hope you feel a bit better after your nap.

Sounds like everything is really hectic for you again @missymoo81. Hope your OH’s eyes are better soon. I’m not surprised the budget has gone off track with everything you’ve had going on - I’m sure you will get sorted soon now you back focused on it. I think you are doing the right thing by avoiding complicated meals with lots of prep, given you know you are stretched for time right now.

This ! He should still be paying until he’s been made redundant and then the cms can recalculate

Oh @Cheery_Daff, @Bluegreen143, @dawnybabes, @jwil, thank you all so much for your comments, advice and support. I can’t tell you how much this means to me having you all there. I only have 3 really close friends IRL and I hate to burden them with all my problems. So it’s so nice to be able to vent on here.

Think OH has almost finished his follow up appt. It’s not going well. Will update shortly.

So sorry to hear his appointment hasn't gone well, hope it's nothing too serious  :(
Your venting on here is definitely not a burden, the number of times I've felt like giving up and seen you and others on here carrying on through really challenging times and realised I can carry on too.

Sorry to hear it doesn't seem to be going well.  Hope it's not too serious.

I agree with the others about doing the CMS, it will take some of the pressure off, especially at the moment.

You come and vent all you need to lass xx I think it helps SO much, and always in some ways feels easier than real life, not just because it's anonymous! But also because people aren't right there in front of you, you can write something and they can reply later. We are all cheering each other on, you certainly do plenty of that yourself! Xx

He needs further surgery but they won’t do anything for 2-3 months at the Moment he can’t see 1m onwards can’t drive or work etc. We’ve got an emergency appointment with the surgeon who did it, on Tuesday (more super stressful driving in London, more hugely expensive parking) he can wear glasses or contacts to correct it for now Possibly until they operate but right now we’ve just been told to come home. It’s obv really bad. But OH is as depressed as it gets, won’t talk and is just laying on the sofa. Keeps saying he’ll never drive again we might as well take the truck off the road he won’t work etc etc. This is going to be one hell of a !!!!!! storm to deal with!
