Hey!
Thanks JWil, 1992 and Charlie’s Tribe. It’s always one thing after the other isn’t it, but fingers crossed things are looking up as May seems way better. Although I am in the middle of sorting the children’s bedroom...... and OMG it’s taking forever and is such a huge task! I’m sorting their clothes so EVERYTHING is on the floor. I’ve got rid of a load. I’d love to be minimalist and just have A few of everything, But I know what I’m like and I get behind on the washing etc. I have pared it down to 10 of pants and socks and whatever clothes they have as they don’t have lots. But wow they have a lot of school uniforms. I bought a lid in June out of habit and to be honest apart from trousers and dresses, they didn’t really need any! Now I have tons!I have done every scrap of washing. Including bath mats and towels, but that means I have to put the children’s bed clothes back on before they go to bed and I hate that job as they have bunk beds. I NEED to finish the clothes sorting today for their bedroom at least as I have the spare room to try and tackle tonight and tomorrow! Not to mention the kitchen, playroom and the bathrooms! Right! I need to get a wiggle on!5 -
You've been very quiet. Hope everything is OK. XXI Believe.....

Hey BlueGreen and Chrystal!
Thank you so much for posting. It has been an awful long time! So to Update:
money has spiralled out of control on shopping etc, due to lots of things, ex is still not paying maintenance. OH has had surgery on both eyes, he can see which is amazing but has set us back financially, which we have a plan to pay back.
im exhausted as OH has had to isolate for 2 weeks and was ill the week before! So I’ve been taking his shifts along with mine! I have not stopped! And I seem to have managed to go to Costalot coffee every day for about a week! Also sadly My uncle died. He was super poorly but only 67, so sad.
But trying to look at positive things. Business is still open for now and earning money. My smaller business is good and I’m making £200 per week from it. OH can see so well it’s absolutely amazing! I’ve done most of my Xmas shopping in the toy sales recently, so feel more organised. I won another £25 on premium bonds. After splurging for the past however many weeks, I have done some calculations and Know where I am and can now hopefully get a handle on it.
So this week is going to be expensive, May wants to go back to dancing which means £80 for the term. And I owe the school some after school fees from last year. So I’m budgeting for all of that. I haven’t been shopping yet, but after changing money around and paying off what I need to. I’m left with £33 for the shopping this week. This can be subsidised a little by odds and ends of change in the car and small amounts of Tesco vouchers. I don’t want to spend more than £133 for the rest of the month.
I’m having to be careful in the sense I’m working so many hours I can’t Choose cheaper meals that have loads of prep, else I’ll just let them go bad and buy a ready meal As I don’t have time. So I’ve written a meal plan and put a shopping list together. I need to claw £20 back from that if I can, but I need cat food and washing powder. But need a new hoover for work so might be able to put those 2 things on the card when I get the hoover. Ok so from that thought I’m going to bring that budget down to £113 for shopping for the month, to save that extra £20 I need. I’m going to go to lidl as it seems so much cheaper. I just need to stick to my list! I’ve got a bit of money on my costalot card. So when I’m on a break from work tomorrow I’ll go and work in there but without it costing me anything.
Im really fancying winter stodge food. So my meal plan is:
shep pie
hm pizza and wedges
Fajitas
chilli
stew
bolognese
carbonaraJust going through what I need. Managed to bulk out A curry today with courgette and chick peas. Not sure OH was too pleased!I’m trying to be super scrimpy as I need around another £200 for the last of the Xmas presents. And I’d really like another £500 in the emergency fund so that if we do close. I have 2 months rent and bills money saved. Not sure how we’d eat or anything but we’d have a roof over our heads at least.Think that’s my updates for now.... be lovely to catch up with you all.5 -
Ok so shopping didnt go to plan. I spent £16.57 rather than the £13 I was after, but I can get the £3.57 back from work and I ordered my coffee and toastie from Costalot, and that didn’t go to plan either as went to pay on my card and couldn’t pay for the toastie as it was reduced, so had to spend on my card (will take that out of the change pot.) Then they said I had to take away as they’d closed the cafe! I had hours to kill so had to go and sit in the car!! Have finally finished work for the day, had beans and bread for dinner, one of my favourites. Not at work until tomorrow night so it’s all good.2

Ok so as money is so tight I am looking into how I can spend less on things. I’ve gone around switching the lights off, I know this won’t immediately change my electric bill but it should bring things down in future hopefully. I’ve managed to book in another PT for the 28th so that’s another £25. I’m going to try and ebay some stuff at the weekend. I also have some bits to take back from primark but I’m not sure when that will be.
So by the end of next month I’d really like to find/save/earn another £465.I should have £200 extra this month for Xmas and birthday presents. I would also like another £500 in the emergency fund in case we shut. At the end of this month I should have the £200 for presents. but I have £35 amazon vouchers. So I need £465. Car needs an MOT though. Really hoping OH will be for that.
So as it stands, I’ll have the extra £25 by the end of the month For the PT, so only £440 to go!Ahhhhhhh just turned the house upside down looking for the receipt for the primark stuff as I was going to bite the billet and go to the city, but I think OH has thrown it away 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. Gutted!
Back to trying to bring the shopping down!2 -
