Ah just typed a post but lost it!
I’ve got a shorter day today, we’re going to look at a new (to us) car for OH for work. It’s a bit of a trek but it’s a day out! I’ll go to work first then we’ll do that this afternoon if we can get someone to cover the last class.
OH went and picked up the shopping yesterday, it came to £50, We got Chinese last night too as I was absolutely too done in to cook, I have a budget of £66 so don’t feel too badly as it’s fitted within the budget.I can’t wait for some time off this weekend. Hoping to go to the beach on Sunday if the weather holds out, it seems to be a lot brighter today.Very cross, bid on a jacket on eBay, won it, had fo interrupt work to do all of this and seller cancelled order, blatantly because of didn’t sell for what they wanted!!!! Not at all happy as it was perfect!!!!!!Managed to post all my EBay stuff yesterday, may try and list some more stuff on Sunday. I like the money but do find it super stressful with all the millions of questions and trying to get to the post office in time.
Should have the ingredients for play dough turning up today so I’m quite excited to make that at the weekend. Thanks again Bluegreen for the recipe.Right need to get sorted for work.

Would you be able to use a delivery firm that collects from your house, saves post office visits. I did this and just left it on my front door step for collection1

If you go via parcel2go you can get (pennies) back via top cash back too. Just remember to filter for collection 😬Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Hope you manage to have some rest this weekend.
You can also print postage through ebay at home and either drop it at the delivery office if you use RM, or use a courier and they collect from home or you can drop off. We have started using myhermes as you can drop parcels off at our local Coop which is just around the corner and open long hours."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thanks JWil. I love how helpful everyone is on here.
Having a v stressful day (what’s new!) OH is having a massive mental breakdown about how we can work to the government guidelines, to the point he started throwing things, refused to teach the class and sat and cried........ he can only see the negatives and absolutely won’t listen to the positives. I know he’s stressed but I’m absolutely trying my best. This is supposed to be my day off, but I haven’t got time to think of anything but trying to keep things afloat. I think I’m going to have to spend around £600 of my emergency fund on equipment to make sure we can reopen safely. How I’ll go about building that back up I don’t know. Have lost an online client as of next week but have hopefully gained another the week after.Going to have to pull the belts in super tight again. About to pay £450 off of the loan as I do every month. Going to list on EBay again tomorrow. Hopefully make another £100 again if at all possible. Need to properly dig deep to find things to sell, as running out of Decent stuff. GHDs are definitely going to go though. Ok will look at money in a bit and update later. Thanks for reading x4 -
Good luck Missy, it’s so awful when you have no choice, but to be the positive person in any partnership. A positive can do attitude really helps. I hope the meltdown is of brief duration.I am struggling with eBay. I sold a few things, but have a few listings going around again. The lower value things hardly seem worth the effort after everyone has taken their pound of flesh! I did do well with a couple of larger items, but haven’t had interest in the others. GHDs should be in demand. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Thanks Suzanne, that’s exactly what I am. I’m the positive, voice of reason in this relationship, which often takes its toll. Especially as we live and breathe work. OH has gone out on his motorbike to clear his head..... so I’ve depoded some broad beans with May, hung up 2 loads of washing with my new metal pegs!!!! So much better than my old plastic ones as they won’t break and go brittle in the sun. I unloaded the dishwasher and me and May made some muffins. They have yoghurt in them and you make them with the tub, they took literally 4 minutes to put in the bowl and 15 mins to cook! We used left over Easter eggs and they have turned out amazing.I’m currently laying outside whilst the children play a game. They’ve spent so much time indoors lately it’s so nice for them to be out. Although now it’s clouding over......
Foodwise, children are going to have left over Chinese and I think I might use the broad beans in a risotto..... I have some cooked chicken in the freezer and Some spring onions to use up......I only have ordinary rice but hopefully that’s all good.Just thought I’d treat myself to a cheeky glass of wine, which is very rare and straight away 7 year old May came over and said she could smell beer or wine and why was I drinking it 🤷🏻♀️2 -
It sounds like you should have 2 glasses to get her used to the smell!
the muffins sound great. I tried some with the cooking oil method and they were suprisingly good too...it looked awful when the oil first went in, but turned out light and moist, not oily at all.Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
