Morning, an early start for me as food shop to do and a few shops to visit. The freezer is nigh empty. I have done the inventory, meal plan and shopping list and realised what I need to get is probably going to be more than I want to spend in a week. On the grocery challenge aiming for a monthly £220 which is very conservative for us greedy goblins. Equates to about £55 for the week. I don’t mind going over but I really do not want to overspend on the monthly figure because that means I have to raid my other categories which I am loath to do. So I shall do my best. I also heard from the village hall and they are refunding my deposit but only half I think, so £15 which will go back into the birthday fund.
B/L/D from stores
Tidy and dust bedroom, change bedding, mop floor etc
Check bank and budget - Done
Not a lot planned today. I am still getting into the swing of being productiveas you all are. Hope you are feeling better @carrielovesfanta
Oh yes, does anyone know if one could still use coconut milk that expired in March - still unopened or do I have to *ouch* bin it? Not sure what i shall do with it, I bought it to try with bulletproof hot chocolate and never did.
Have a good day

@carrielovesfanta hope you felt better yesterday
@Narola1976 I would definitely use the coconut milk if it was me (assuming it’s not a chilled product). If it’s tinned you can use it in things like curries, if it’s thinner and more like a milk alternative you could use it in rice pudding, smoothie, porridge or in things like curries - HTH

Congrats on the weight loss 1LL. I need to lose probably a couple of stone, but not finding it easy in these strange times. I haven't had the nerve to step on the scales, but my clothes are definitely a good bit tighter than they were! Bitty sort of day, but I have managed to get quite a bit done:Walked dog first thing, as usualReduced milk order for Monday on milkman's web site, as we seem not to have used that much this week.Sorted out file of bank paperwork that was all over the floor. Some shredded and now in the compost bin, the rest in separate envelopes, one for each bank, back in the box file and put away in the cupboard. Also did budgets / checked all accounts as I had all the stuff out anyway.Read meters and entered readings onto energy company's web siteKitchen clean up, also cleaned the dreaded black and white tiles in the bathroom which show every speck of dust and drop of water, plus bath, loo, basin etc.Watered gardenCut back red valerian stuff that was growing across the front door, and lemon balm that was growing across the mint potPlanted out more basil seedlingsSpoke with all 3 children, plus my brother, on the phoneLunch was more home made hummus and home grown saladMade a pan of bolognese sauce, incorporating bendy veg and lentils, for tomorrow and later in the weekMade a pan of mash with elderly sweet potatoes and a couple of ordinary potatoes, which we had with dinner, which was pork steak things, spring greens, gravy and quince jelly - there is still some left though, so that has gone in the fridge. Sometimes I think that I take something of average size out of there (such as the last few sweet potatoes) to use it, and a huge vat of something ends up going back in its place!3

Morning wasn’t it hot yesterday! I don’t have a garden to speak of but managed a bit of time on a picnic blanket in the park. It was lovely. Congrats on the weight loss 1LL, always nice to be able to add to your wardrobe without having to spend a penny.
Yesterday was rather busy with the food shop so today I want to take it easy while still getting on with a few bits:
B/L/D from stores. A sausage casserole today with mash and veg. Was meant to cook this yesterday but got a YS roast chicken which couldn’t be frozen, so had to cook it for dinner.
Clean the kitchen, fill the dishwasher.
Biscuit making again today, the last batch barely lasted a few days.
Checked and purged emails - Done
Check bank accounts - no expected transactions as its the weekend, but its a habit
load my receipts to Zipzero, Shoppix and Receipt Hog - Done
Check PA for any surveys.
