Morning folks
Well done to everyone working hard at not touching thier credit cards! I had a bit of a shock when I opened up my creit report recently. Although my dfd was in April 2013, i realised that I had still been using my cards on and off until 2015. I hadn't remembered that so it was an eye-opener.
Not sure what I'll be up to today. It's very warm already and I'm not a hot weather person.B/L/D from stores - done
Email the RPS - done. Need to check claim status. and the administrators as the admins have failed to submit all our redundancy info. It's been nearly 8 weeks now.
Bit of a tidy round - done
Water garden and allotment later - done
Oh yes - it's Thursday - budget sheet! - done
Framed a cross-stitch that I did a while back in a frame that my old work put my 10 years' service cert in. Binned cert. - done
Hmmm... can't just flop around all day. Will be back when the coffee kicks in

PS: - yes. For some reason I have spent an insane amount on food this month. Part of the issue was due to the shortages at the start of the lockdown, we ate EVERYTHING and I've had to stock back up on all my staples at the same time. I've spent nearly double my normal spendLBM 11/06/2010: DFD 30/04/2013Total repaid: £10,490.314 -
Hello all,
Feeling happy and positive here today which is nice - might have something to do with nearly being at my goal weight!
Well done to everyone on not touching those CC - not an easy thing to do.
And thanks for the advice on my courgettes, didn't water last night and I think they're less yellow today so fingers crossed! If you have any tips on spring onions going a little brown since I've transplanted them I'd be grateful for them too
Today's list:
- wfh
- all food from stores (b: yogurt and blueberries, l: egg free omelette and salad from garden, t: curry)
- give blood this afternoon
- money ss
- update signature as some DDs gone out to CC
- relax (when I went downstairs to get water now I lied on the grass for a few minutes and did nothing, it was wonderful!)
Have a happy sunny day all,

I only used it for the first time on the weekend and I've really enjoyed both of the omelettes I've made. Their website has loads of recipes ideas.
I bought it from my local vegan shop, however have seen it on as*a website and I'm sure other major supermarkets will stock it.My debt free diary

Afternoon all,
Egg free omelette fried my brain!!
Another day of plodding on (am enjoying it being half term though!! ) Here in Wales our restrictions haven't been lifted as much as in England, although its review day tomorrow so we'll see what they say then!
So far I've
* been for a walk with ds2
* we've done the joe wicks workout on utube
* washed a load on the quick wash and hung out on the line (still no ironing done since lockdown started)
* been to pick up prescriptions for dh & ds2, I usually hate going for them but its on the top of the hill and it meant I had a gorgeous view of the sea which really lifted my spirits
* meal planned for the next few days and made space in the freezer for some icecream I've got on my Mr T click and collect this evening I hope!
* we finished off setting up dh's new desk and also are now talking about the possibility of going down to 1 car if this new way of him working is going to continue as we think.
* a lovely lunch of hm leek and potato soup (with leeks and potatoes out of a lidl cheap veg box and hm stock) we had this with cheese and onion toasties
* checked off banking and closed off this months spreadsheet as it was dh's payday (I was also thinking it was Friday -)
Still to do
* prep salad for tonights meal, going to have an egg salad
* pick up click and collect tonight
* go for an after tea walk with dh whilst the kids clear the kitchen
Take care all.Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

@rdone I have never heard of transplanting spring onions before - I just pop the seeds in and leave them to grow - anywhere, even in a pot. In fact they are good in pots, I usually sow some in big pots that become empty part way through the season. They seem to survive the winter ok if they don't get used before.I would just make sure they don't dry out too much, can't think of anything else. Our 'spring onions' at the moment are actual onions. I bought some autumn onion sets at a car boot last October I think it was. Some are getting quite big but others are like the big spring onions that you see in the supermarkets sometimes, so we are using those. The actual spring onions are still like little blades of grass.I ordered more compost today for delivery, and a new blueberry bush as mine sadly seems to be dying. I think it didn't like those late frosts. I will give it a chance, but have a replacement to grow on.There is a really tall foxglove right in my line of sight (just looking out of the lounge window into the back garden) with what must be some really big bees on it, so big I can see them quite clearly from here. My garden isn't very big it is true, but is not so small that I can usually see insects at the bottom of it!5

Morning allClearing an Argos plan seems like quite a big win to me NarolaI have just got OH to chop about an inch off my hair. I think he chopped more than that, and it is probably uneven, but I DON'T CARE. It was driving me mad! It certainly feels better.Today I need to:Make some scones, a cake or biscuits, as the tin is empty. We only ever have home made snacks, hardly ever buy cakes, biscuits, chocolate etc, so even though it is not particularly healthy, I know what is in them and can control the sugar and fat content to a great extent. Done, made fruit scones.Cut the dead blooms off the climbing rose, so that it keeps producing flowers - looks pretty, not much effort and costs nothing - the rose itself cost less than a tenner years ago. DoneSort out larder and fridge - again In progressWater anything that needs it in the garden DonePick over the broad beans and mangetout. There might be one or two strawberries as well
Done
Check banks and update spreadsheet / budgets In progress - I have the contents of the bank paperwork file all over the rug at the momentSome cleaning - trying to do a little bit a day so that it doesn't get overwhelming. Not my favourite job! Nope, felt shattered and went to bed for several hours this afternoon.List a few things on ebay. I want to start my little business againI have a Drop and Go account at the post office, so I can pay upfront online and OH or I can simply drop parcels off. The friend who is the owner of the shop where I rent my sales unit has been in touch to say that she is planning to open in June under social distancing conditions, and if I want to restock can do so beforehand, when nobody else but her is there. I am going in on Monday. I have been warned that it is very dusty. I will keep more than 2 metres away from my friend (the shop is long, my bit is at the back), will only touch my own stock, which nobody has touched since March, and will wash my hands afterwards. And we can still have a chat
Listed 3 items.
Lunch will be home made hummus, which really is much nicer than the bought kind, and wraps with home grown lettuce and spring onions. DoneDinner will be leftover risotto, with soup to start (we don't usually have a starter but there isn't quite enough risotto) and fruit salad and a spoonful of ice cream for pudding. DoneHope everyone has a nice day

Morning all. Well done on paying off the BNPL narola
dawn what time you eating ? Dinner sounds lovely 😉
So yesterday was productive but I didn’t get somethings done so need to think about doing those today:
message someone to get a pension figure ready for the advice I booked yesterday
make a snack of some sort
couple of video calls
check banking - it’s so much better easier when there are no spends going out 😂
some washing out that was washed overnight
sort out big pile of clothes that are too small for smalls that I sorted yesterday
bit of cleaning/ tidying to keep on top of it
have a good day all. Purps.4 -
Morning all,
@DawnW thanks for the advice! I assumed I should have moved them as they seemed crowded in the pot but I don't think I'd do that again. Sounds good to the onions, we go through so many onions in this house that it wouldn't be a bad thing. Blueberries are my favourite - will take a look to see if I can get one around here. Your garden sounds delightful, I love how it's all mixed in. I also agree that hm hummus is so much better - I've become obsessed! Plus a lot cheaper than buying a tub so win win!
I'm glad egg free omelettes have caused such a stir! Although I do apologise for frying (lol) brains.
@Narola1976 I think all wins are big wins regardless of the starting size. You should be proud as it's one less thing to think about and put money towards. Well done!
My list for today:
- get DH to shave my undercut, driving me insane!
- have a quick clean around the house for the weekend
- have/will contact(ed) all my family and friends who are within 5 miles as I can finally see them in their gardens at 2m distance! Thanks Wales
- all food from stores and will list although less controversial I think (b: overnight oats, l: dirty fries as a treat (beans, coconut cheese and fake bacon bits), t: chickpea, potato and spinach curry with cous cous)
- lockdown quiz tonight
- update ss as a few dds have gone out
Think that's it.
Happy Friday y'all!
