Hi ladies,
I had a bit of a lay in this morning, been productive since though:
- click and collect picked up
- dog dropped at groomers
- bedding plants bought from lovely local florist that has reopened
- bottle bank visited
- 2 loads of washing on the line
- kitchen sparkly
Hope hangovers are gone soon, I must admit I haven't had a drink for over a fortnight now, it definitely makes my anxiety worse. I have had word this morning that a minor op I was waiting for will take place this Thursday morning, so I am worried a bit about the general anaesthetic etc, kids sorted for childcare which is good, but nervous....

Round 2 done, although I haven't put everything back in yet..... 1 side of the summerhouse is tidy! I have removed various carrier bags, boxes, drawers and loose tools that need organising and putting away in the small shed (which also needs sorting). I have also removed some gardening bits, an inflatable kayak, a glockenspeil, 2 chairs, a keyboard stand, speakers and various other gibble (this summerhouse is 8x10ft, not enormous!) I have swept, evicted spiders and cleaned the floor. I have also swept the walls & ceiling and cleaned behind a photo & a tambourine that were hanging on the walls before replacing them and cleaned 2 windows. The chairs, music stuff (including the dijeridoo that found its way indoors for the Thursday clap!), and a box of paperwork that needs sorting have been returned. I am having lunch and my 2nd cuppa of the day now! Oh, I have also hung the washing out & put another lot in!
My afternoon list:
Organise tools & put away
Make a pile for the tip
Take some bits to the allotment
Speak to DH about either binning the kayak (it keeps getting holes!) or putting it in the loft
Spend some time at the allotment
Hang out WM2
Ok - time for a scone, jam and clotted cream - I think I have earned it! 😂

Level 1 and a couple of bits from the other levels done. The ironing pile is no more, but I have given up trying to mop the kitchen floor today. WM is running a clean cycle which I hope will do the trick on the gunk that must be in the pipes. I’m now trying to build enthusiasm to tackle something in the back bedroom now that the sun has moved round. I’d really like to get some summer clothes down from the loft, but the thought of the heat up there is not attractive.

Lunch eaten and cleared up
Dinner sorted, potatoes peeled for OH to put on as I'm at work this evening
Today's post opened and dealt with immediately, including paying DD1 fine! Just need OH to look at some pension stuff that came but if I leave it on the kitchen table he will read and decide on action when he gets home. Other bank statements filed.
Few bits tidied
Time for tea8 -

Today took a funny turn and I am now sat in a Christmas nighty drinking tea as I am cold
Made the beds
WM x1
Baked pastries for breakfast (just roll thingys)
Got ds washed and dressed
Had a show and got dressed
Pegged out
Wrote 2 letters to friends
Collected ds prescription
When to B a M as needed quite a few bits and whilst there I thought we'd get a hose pipe and clean the car ourselves.....(never washed my own car always took it to the wash place)
Cleaning the car was a lot harder than I thought (did the inside too) and then ds got hold of the hose and drenched me/him/next door neighbor and passing car (luckily their window was up)
By the time we'd finished and cleaned away the kids were starving so I chucked the nighty on as it was on top of the dresser in the charity pile.....
Everyone fed and I think that might be me done for the day except feeding again later!6 -

Everything is crossed for you Kaz.
I have spent the afternoon gardening, mainly cleaning the patio, and had a social distance chat with a friend. I'm done for the day now.Spend less now, work less later.5 -
Partway through cleaning the kitchen - heard a terrific racket - and in runs Poppy with a live (and angry) blackbird hen. Which promptly flew into my kitchen - anyway opened the window, got it out and got the vacuum out to deal with the feathers. Mopped floor. Did some knitting whilst watching update then went to shop (out of milk) came home; made tea.
Have a new nightly treat - Downton Abbey. Never watched it before - it's being rerun from the beginiing on ITV 3. Eyes are gunky so hayfever diagnosis was spot on.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
