Morning all...lovely and sunny here today which is fab.
Got a bit lost towards the end of last week, so I have been reading the last few pages to try and catch up on everyone's news...you've all been so busy!
Front hedge in orchard on my to-do list today. I can't find my secateurs, so I may have to attempt gentle tree surgery with my long slippers...wish me luck...
See you later x8 -
Morning everyone, and thanks for the thread Valli. Starting today I’m determined to lose weight so healthy eating and exercise will feature on my lists. Really desperate to slim down, I feel so unhealthy and overweight
Havibg said that I’m going to have a busy morning but then work on the crochet bears this afternoon, in the garden.
So my list for today:
- change our bedding
- wash old bedding
- hang out washed bedding
- put away dry bedding
- half hour weeding
- file paperwork
- pick 2 paperwork tasks to do
- meal plan for the week
- do a workout
- work on crochet bear
Have a good day everyone x10 -
Dizzy, I don't think you'll get very far with your long slippers!
I have washed up, done finances, dusted the living room of a fashion, cleaned and sorted the fridge and cleaned the freezer. Who knew there are instructions on the inside of the door for how long to freeze different foods. I've only had that freezer 15 years.
Have decided it's too hot for a dog walk.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Round 1 completed - towels / tea towels still swishing + filled the bird bath, put out the rubbish, had a chat with Dad, finished reading my book and am now having a coffee.
Round 2 =
Sweetie's seed and water
peg out washing when it's finished swishing
clean cooker top - now I can see it. All pots WUDUPA

Me again
walk done, walked around the park and the local reservoir, about 4 miles in total I think, lovely to catch up with a friend though. Popped to Mr T on the way back, we needed some more fruit as DH forgot it when he went last week, also picked up a couple of other bits while I was there.
When I got back DH was up and in the garden so I have now made the bed, S/s the en-suite. First load of washing is dry and just brought in, I think I will take the opportunity to wash the cushion covers off the lounge sofas, they haven’t been done for a while.
While I was in Mr T I bought a face pack so that will be my bit of self care later on in the week. I think the rest of today though will be a bit of pottering here and there and reading my book.
Have a good day xx9 -
I've changed the bedding, sorted washing, dusted the bedroom of a fashion, put the recycling out, watered the garden and cut the grass back and front. Despite all the other things that need doing, I'm going to spend the rest of the afternoon in the garden with my book.Spend less now, work less later.9

Progress is slow, but so far
DW on
WM on
Lunch made using leftovers
Email dealt with immediately, this is a huge success as in the past I would have put it off as potentially tricky, which it wasn't, and then it would have turned into a frog or worse.
Post opened, filed and binned as necessary
Bed made, clothes picked up
Banking and finances checked

Very pleased with my morning.
- change our bedding
- wash old bedding
- hang out washed bedding
- put away dry bedding
- half hour weeding
- file paperwork
- pick 2 paperwork tasks to do
- meal plan for the week
- do a workout
- work on crochet bear
Got DH to cut the grass before the washing went out, so that was a win.
Question for the gardening peeps - I did some hacking at a rosebush we have, its beautiful, but just too big. If I severely prune it will it grow back net year (only smaller obviously) ?
Anyway I can now see the flower bed so thats a win, and I've cleared out nearly all my old weedy planters read for new stuff. I want DH to cut a small branch off a ceanothus which is taking over, its taking over my little table and chair area where the sun is in the morning, I want to be able to sit there with a cuppa of a morning, but at the minute my head would be in the bush. Just off to have some lunch now. This afternoon will be bear crochet and a walk.8 -
Round 2 completed + gathered up sundry items of clothing to form another WM load. These are now pegged out in the sunshine. So no dirty pots and no dirty washing here - I think I'll join Badcat and Jazee and read a book.

Being up so early this morning is making today feel extremely long!
Decided to only do 1 x WM and make sure it's put away! I always fall down on the put away part
Filing & flinging paperwork turned into sorting out all the paperwork in the house....why did I think this was a good idea??? I've sorted it all out and I am now staring at it magically willing it to put itself away in a neat organised way
Next to sort is all my planer supplies.... this could take all day as I have an excessive amount of planner stickers and gubbins. I will never use it all but it's all so lovely to look atyes I have issues ha
crazy planner lady vibe anyone?10
