If you have one of the mentioned cards then you can withdraw cash at a stamp shop, so its testing staff if they offer that service.

The stamp shops I've got can be paid by card or cash.

I've got some for next month which can be card or cash, but these ones specifically say you should pay by debit card.

P.S. I think they can tell which card it is by the numbers on the receipt so probably not worth the risk if paying by the wrong card.

Ditto - you can pay by cash on mine too.

Ah well, at least you realised before you did the jobs so you're not out of pocket. :)

Yep! And I don't have to drag the 2 kids 15 miles out of my way to do the jobs!!

I'm actually going to apply for an Alliance & Leicester current account so I can get the card to use for future shops. I'll get £50 cashback from Quidco for applying for it so that's gotta be worth it!

Hmm just read the terms & conditions and you have to pay in a minimum £500 each month which I won't be able to do.

Hubby & I have a main joint account, where his salary goes, and I currently have a Halifax account where my MS money goes, this is the account I was going to replace with the A&L one, but I don't make £500 a month MS-ing :(

Ahh, yeah I am the same; Halifax a/c I use for MS which I would be more than happy to change but I wouldn't get £500 into it each month. That is unless I paid some of my wage in then took it straight back out again.

I might just have a think about that...

    Thanks for the info though!

I have a Smile account which I use for everything MS and is also accepted for the stamp shops. No idea about Quidco though.

You can pay in cheques at the stamp shops, withdraw cash, pay in cash ... and the same goes for the Co-op bank.

Ok so the call of £50 was too strong - you also get free annual European travel insurance with it which is worth probably another £50 a year. I have applied for an A&L account.

I'm sure I'll manage to put enough money through it if I put my mind to it. To be honest I really dislike the Halifax and would be glad to close their account.
