Have recently signed up to TNS and am looking at their jobs but they only seem to be reimbursing the cost of the visit plus £3 for milage. Im a bit confused am I only earning £3 for the visit? Are these the only type of jobs this company has or are there better ones after you complete some of the pub type ones?

That is correct - £3 fee, plus your dinner is free. I have adone a few of these and the food is generally ok, and questionnaires quite short so I'd say if you're going to be in the area they are worth doing. They have other stuff on there, just not today!

How have you left them a phone message? If it's the UK office you're rung, they won't be happy - people have got struck off for doing that!!!

And sorry but if the brief said to spend £1 in the shop and you didn't, you only have yourself to blame!

TG is now going to double-check her brief for the rip-off petrol job she's doing this afternoon!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

True but what I don't understand is why the value of £1 is so important in that case. I still completed the assignment and purchased an item from the shop albeit not £1, so where would different results from purchasing an item over £1 affect the performance of the garage in general?

At least re-imburse the petrol, not the shop amount as that is what I didn't do correctly. No doubt the results will be sent to the yellow garage anyway as being a good store but they are getting out of paying me.

Very annoyed, did a yellow garage on Friday, filled up with the £10 and spent 51p on a packet of Skittles in the shop.

However today the assignment was rejected as I didn't spend £1. I'm annoyed because I have a receipt and put in £10 of petrol with no premium fees or anything to do them a favour then they turn round and say I did it incorrectly.

They have the check to phone me a few weeks back begging me to travel 50 miles to do a golden arches job for two poxy garage jobs as fuel reimbursment but always pick a fault. I've left them a phone message and I'm becoming increasingly impaitent with there crap service.

    (Gapbuster this is)

If the station had a shop you are supposed to spend 1 pound in the shop to assess the service there. The brief doesn't explain this very well but in the training for the client it said that you had to buy a special offer item (such as a chocolate bar) so you would see whether you are told about the offer.
That is what I do anyway.
Rest assured we all have learned some hard lessons where we missed some small detail and then we did not get paid or been threatened by no payment. It does make you a lot more carefull. At least it's petrol and you will need it anyway.

Yeah looks like I'll have to take the buck. The brief was clear about petrol but wasn't very clear about the store purchase. Compared to the golden arches brief it was very messy and all-over the pages!

Speaking of messy and all over the place briefs for Gap, does everyone else find the page breaks are not where they should be? so if you read it page by page (like you would for anyhting elces you'll ever print off) the questions are all in the wrong order? or am I just missing somehting really obvious and just doing it wrong?

Oh, and Timmne, for the OP, Amber Arch pay 3-5 days after they receive your reports and invoice, and they pay by cheque.

I had my first one arrive on Saturday. The quick payment almost makes up for the horrid excel based reports.
  • I've just joined Amber Arch, they may have called me today too, unsure.

They have sent emails saying assignments will be emailed off, not had anything yet.

Gap are crap tbh, no fees apart from reimbursement? Why would you want a free meal only? You could go and have the meal and not have the paperwork to fill in. Give us some fees man.

Their paperwork and system is crap tbh.

Yeah no problems - if anyone wants one adding, would they mind posting them here please? To be a little more cheeky/demanding, could you please post the info that's on the OP for the other companies? Thanks!

    :D

PS - I'm in the process of thinking about (that's right - thinking about thinking about!) doing a new OP so watch this space!

Beyon Hello (www.beyondhello.com) are looking to expand in th UK so now might be a good time to get in there & register! I started to apply a couple of weeks ago, but when I tried to fill in the Postcodes that I could work in their Area Code boxes, it kept coming up error - yet the Application Form is identical to Bare Associates, & I put Postcodes in there no problem & it went through OK. I emailed BH in America & they got back to say the boxes are for US phone Area Codes,(didn't think of that!) so to just leave them blank, which I did & registered no problem. They only have a handful of jobs on the board at the moment, two High End Retail Stores in London & one in Oxfordshire & one in Manchester. Sushi ones in London were on but have been nabbed already! Erin, the Scheduler, said they were expanding so hopefully there'll be more jobs soon (Glasgow please!!) They seem to work just like Bare so some will be Self-Assign & others you apply for. Don't know the details yet of when they pay etc. I've had emails through today about the jobs mentioned - shame they're too far away! Hopefully someone else on here can do them!

Sorry if you've answered this before but I am running out of time and have only managed to read up to page 43.

Doing a Pizza MGV tonight and need to get a starter and med size pan (Without pineapple).

If they offer me a deal can I accept it as long as it has these two items in it or do I have to buy exactly what the job says?

For example I know a number of these stores offer a collection deal where you get any med pizza for £7.99 if you collect it. You can then add starters at a discounted price.

    Advice welcomed.

    Thanks
