The answer is that you DO string them along as far as possible - your 'no' should come only at the end.

What I do is to get right to the end and then say I will check with my husband to make sure all the details match with the specification he wants before signing up. If you are male and feel embarrassed saying this about your wife, collect 5 sexist pig points, do not pass go. :rotfl: You could say at this point that you are shopping for a friend and need to check the specifications with him.....

Any one had any emails form grassroots offering work? Then when you click on the link into your account it shows that they are not there anymore, but when you check to see what you have missed it does not show you. I have had two like this so far this year. Anyone else had this?

I had the same thing and I noticed since 2008 the missed jobs are at the bottom of the list instead of the top...I hope this makes sense.

So do you usually give all your details including your name, address and all the details?
The mystery shop company should really state this and i have only realised and feel this after doing a couple of these and think ive done them wrong.
Entering the results for one them now and will unfortunatly have to put no they didnt offer insurance and demo which will make the company look bad. Guess for tomorow i will give it a go to go all the way

Even when they do think they're going to get a sale out of you, half the time these mobile phone shop staff don't even bother mentioning insurance or a demo. Very frequently their idea of a 'demo' is only handing you a dead phone.
Just make sure you don't go giving any bank details and end up with them actually signing you up!! (I really hate the pressure these places put you under when you're just asking for all the details of handsets/deals/tarif etc)

Anyone do the phone surveys for optimum contact? Just wondered what they are like to do?
There not bad all depends if you are good at talking on the phone my tip is too stick with one type until you feel comfortable. and note the higher paid ones dont always work out the best as you do less an hour.
  • Hi, just wondering if there are any members of retail eyes who would like to refer me to them (apparently you will earn £1.50 for doing so?).
    Let me know!

Be very careful when you give your details I had a couple of occasions when the member of staff started doing the credit check without asking permission. I usually show interest on everything they offer, even the sock for the phone! and once they filled in the form I just ask them what papers they need to me to bring on my next visit ;) .
  • I've picked up a 'bug' and had to cancel a bar assignment for Bare. If I am able to complete it next week, do you think it would be acceptable for me to order a soft drink as I'm on anti-biotics plus I will have to drive to the venue?. The assignment details state I have to buy two 'mixed' drinks (e.g. G & T) and the same for a guest if I bring one along. Just wondering if my guest could do the drinking while I do the observing and would Bare cover the cost of a couple of soft drinks for myself?!?

I would get in touch with Bare and ask before you do the job.

I don't work for Bare, but I know with other companies you must order the drink specified as the brief will be tailored to the service times of the set drinks, and you need to comment on how the drink was made and served.
Here I go again on my own....

You do have to buy the specific drinks but you dont have to drink them. they want your comments on service. re buying other drinks look at expenses details on brief-should tell you there. I had alot of bar jobs just before xmas-many in one day couldnt drink any of the stuff i ordered because a. driving and b. id have been stocious by the third visit-just moved away from bar after order part and left them on a table/shelf away from bar area.
